"So, brat, I heard you already know several jutsu... Considering that you are just in the second year right now, are you sure you're not simply bragging?" Tsunade asked me with a provocative face, though it was clear what her intentions were—she was simply judging me.
Don't look at Tsunade as if she were someone simple-minded... Nope, she definitely has her own calculations, and the subtle glances between Mito and Tsunade were clear indications.
From the moment I had revealed my Senju heritage, it was enough to attract their attention. Although they might have already researched it before, me saying it myself was a different matter entirely. And this provocation was simply to force me into taking action so they could assess my abilities in detail and decide their future actions.
If I were decently talented, I would be trained as a subordinate. If I had no talent, then that would be it—even Kushina would be made to slowly stay away from me. But if I showcased my talent now, there was a high chance they would try to woo me in. It was just a matter of how much talent I displayed—their reaction would vary accordingly.
And from my side, if I wanted the best results for myself, showing off would certainly be the best idea. If a monstrous genius unlike anything seen before rose from the Senju, both Mito and Tsunade would try to protect me to the best of their abilities. Maybe I would even be made to change my surname... But that's good, I suppose. Senju sounds better... Mahoraga Senju.
As for the fact that they would treat me according to my worth—that didn't bother me in the slightest, because that's just how things worked. It wasn't something unique to this world. Earth was the same. A woman's beauty and a man's wealth decided their worth. Of course, there were exceptions to this—but they were just that: exceptions.
And it's not like I would deny that I was here because Tsunade was an absolute beauty, so expecting anything else would be foolish.
"Bragging? I don't like to brag... If you want to, I can show you some of my jutsu." I replied to Tsunade, who smiled hearing that, also happy that I had caught on to her intentions.
"Let's go to the backyard then. There's plenty of room for demonstration there," Tsunade said as she stood up, walking toward the backyard, hinting for me to follow her.
Both Kushina and Nawaki got excited at the prospect of the upcoming fight and excitedly followed us. Even the stoic Mito followed to spectate the match.
And, guided by Tsunade, I reached a large ground, which apparently was the backyard of the mansion.
"Let's start then... So, what do you specialize in?" Tsunade asked me.
"Hmmm, I am best at Water Style jutsu. I can do several of those," I replied thoughtfully.
"Water Style, huh? Okay, bring it on then. Show me what you've got."
I nodded at her words and, without replying, started making hand signs.
Water Style! Water Bullet Jutsu!
I unleashed several bullets of high-speed, rotating water toward Tsunade. I started with a C-rank jutsu—not anything impressive, but considering my age, unexpected.
Tsunade did not bother to dodge the incoming jutsu. She clenched her fist and threw a punch toward the bullets, scattering them all.
Monster Strength Jutsu—a technique that was almost a trademark of Tsunade. A comprehensive, all-round jutsu...
And it was equally troublesome too. I needed to think of a way to restrain her before getting on the offensive again. But first, I needed to create an opening. Since she simply punched my first jutsu, let's throw a few more offensive jutsu to get her used to using Monster Strength for defense.
Water Style! Exploding Water Colliding Wave!
Water Style! Wild Water Wave!
Water Style! Continuous Water Bullets!
I turned into a machine gun, firing jutsus just to show off my chakra reserves—which was another proof of my Senju bloodline.
And of course, Tsunade just wildly threw her punches, scattering each of my jutsus. I could even see the somewhat disappointed look on her face. It seems she thought my combat awareness wasn't up to her expectations.
But what she didn't know was that, in the midst of the barrage, I had created a Shadow Clone, which was standing in my previous spot, and used Water Clone Jutsu to hide and move toward the opposite side.
The clone had just one purpose—to unleash a jutsu that had been created by myself, by combining two previously existing jutsus.
Water Style! Starch Syrup Capturing Wave!
Yes, I had redesigned the Starch Syrup Capturing Field, turning it into a wave of sticky, trapping water.
And Tsunade, who had gotten used to dispersing my jutsus with her punches, did the same for this one almost involuntarily. But she was in for a surprise. The water wave did not disperse like she had expected it to. Instead, it engulfed her in sticky starch, trapping her for a few moments. But this was all the time I needed.
My Shadow Clone dispersed, and the main body got into action—and once again:
Shadow Clone Jutsu!
Two more clones of myself were formed, and in the very next instant, all three started making hand signs—and four signs later:
Water Style! Water Dragon Jutsu!
Three water dragons shot toward Tsunade, who was busy with the starch trap. Although Tsunade did manage to notice the incoming dragons, it was far too late.
She did unleash a monstrous punch with all the strength she could gather, but the impact of the Water Dragon Jutsu hurled her backward. Although she wasn't seriously injured, that had to hurt.
By the time the water receded, Tsunade came into my view—a green glow in her hands, covering her stomach, healing whatever damage she might have received.
"That was good... I thought you were one of those who simply and mindlessly launched ninjutsu at their enemies... but it seems I was incorrect. You did it just to make me underestimate you, right?" Tsunade asked with a chuckle, seemingly not minding my previous attack.
"Indeed... but it would only work once. The next time we fight, I wouldn't stand a chance," I replied humbly.
"Maybe. But you don't get second chances on the battlefield. And I'm not so petty that I can't accept defeat—this isn't gambling," Tsunade chuckled.
At this time, Kushina ran toward me excitedly and jumped at me.
"That was amazing, Mahoraga! I didn't know you were so strong! You've got to train me too! I'd beat even the seniors who come after me!"
"Ummm... maybe that would be overdoing it. I don't think any academy student would survive two or three B-rank jutsus launched at them," I replied with a serious face.
"Oiii Oiii, you are not teaching all that to Kushina right now," Tsunade warned me.
Then she looked toward Mito, and they had some non-verbal communication, the contents of which I was very certain about. Tsunade then turned toward me and asked:
"Brat, you're even more talented than I expected... Say, would you want to become my student?"
And here it comes—easier than I had expected. Of course, I believe it was due to my Senju heritage that she wanted me to become her student after just meeting me.
This would have been a lot more difficult if I had the same talent but lacked the Senju bloodline... Sigh. Naruto truly is a world based on bloodlines.
