"What a terrifying card!"

Feeling time rewind twenty-four hours, George couldn't help but sigh in awe.

Among all the Clow Cards, the Time Card was the one he cared about the most.

Other cards could be resisted with enough power—if you couldn't win, you could at least run away.

But the Time Card directly halts your time. If you haven't studied time magic, you're completely vulnerable—utterly defenseless and unable to fight back.

"It's probably still too early to study it. I'll leave it for the future."

Setting aside the effects caused by the Time Card, he continued researching the Thunder Card. By now, he had fully mastered all the thunder techniques of the Li family, allowing him to further analyze the Thunder Card.

As for the Time Card, he knew that Sakura and Syaoran would eventually capture it. And if everything went as expected, it would be the first Clow Card Syaoran ever sealed. If George truly wanted to study it, he could simply ask Syaoran for it.

Sure enough, after three consecutive days of time being reversed, Syaoran and Sakura managed to seal the Time Card together. Since Syaoran had contributed the most during the battle, the Clow Card automatically chose him as its new owner.

While his counterpart in this world focused on the Thunder Card, George's panda avatar in the world of magic apprentices had already picked up the nesting doll that sealed Morgana's soul.

At present, his magical level had long surpassed level 1000—far above both Merlin and Morgana—making him the most powerful magician in recorded history.

He had grasped the true nature of lightning, vastly enhancing the power of his thunder magic, which was especially effective against other magicians in this world.

Morgana was no longer a threat to him.

Moreover, he had completely mastered all the spells of Merlin and Morgana, enabling him to easily extract Morgana's soul from Veronica's body.

So, he decided that today was the day to release Morgana and uncover the secrets of the Resurrection Spell and the Book of the Dead from her mind.

"Apparate!"

Taking advantage of David going on a date and Balthazar heading to a bar, George grabbed the nesting doll and instantly teleported to a deserted island in the middle of the sea.

His goal was the Book of the Dead, and it was best if Balthazar and David remained unaware—to avoid any unnecessary complications.

"Unseal!"

Placing the nesting doll at the center of a meticulously drawn magic circle, George pressed his plump panda paw onto the array. The unsealing formation activated, and the lid of the doll slowly opened as a surge of powerful black magic burst forth.

Moments later, a beautiful woman in a long dress began to materialize.

"Finally! I'm finally free from that damned seal!"

She let out a cry of excitement, then turned her eyes toward George, a puzzled expression crossing her face.

"Who are you? Where is Horvath?"

She had assumed Horvath would be the one to release her, but to her surprise, it was a panda—a Chinese giant panda, no less.

"Horvath? He's still sealed."

George grinned as he looked over Morgana, who had possessed Veronica's body.

Her magical power was indeed strong, but compared to his current self, she still fell far short.

"Useless fool, sealed again. Still, I never imagined that my successor in the mortal world would turn out to be a panda."

Morgana also examined George in return, but soon lost interest.

"A panda is fine. Since you've unsealed me, you've rendered great service. Once I conquer the world, you'll become the most exalted panda on Earth—worshipped by all of humanity!"

She glanced around the area and immediately frowned:

"Why haven't you prepared the resurrection spell's magic circle in advance?

…Forget it. You're a panda, after all. Just managing to unseal me is already impressive.

I'll prepare the formation myself once we reach a human city."

"You're actually pretty polite. But unfortunately, I didn't unseal you so you could conquer the world."

Suddenly, a burst of lightning—far beyond Level 5 power—erupted from George's body, surging straight toward Morgana, who was inhabiting Veronica's form.

Caught completely off guard by the panda's sudden attack, Morgana had no time to react. She was instantly enveloped by the powerful electric current, her entire body going rigid.

In this world, electricity was the most feared element among magicians—it disrupted the flow of magical energy, rendering them incapable of casting spells properly.

For someone of Morgana's caliber, ordinary electricity wouldn't be a problem. But the lightning George had released was far too powerful—even she couldn't break free immediately.

"Soul Seize!"

George locked eyes with Morgana, placed his paw on her forehead, and activated both his Soul Seizure and psychic powers at once, forcibly delving into the depths of her soul to search her memories.

It took him ten full minutes to locate the information he needed—memories deep within Morgana's soul about the Book of the Dead, including the full contents of the Resurrection Spell, which could summon souls back to the world of the living and form an undead army.

The Resurrection Spell didn't truly bring the dead back to life—it was more akin to necromancy, forcibly pulling the soul of the deceased back into the mortal realm and transforming it into an undead servant under the spellcaster's control.

These undead retained most of their former abilities.

Of course, it depended on the situation. If the person was a mage, their magical abilities would be largely intact. But if they were a warrior, it would depend on the condition of their physical body.

If centuries had passed and the body was reduced to bones, then the revival would be far weaker. But if they had only recently died, the change would be minimal.

Morgana's goal was to resurrect powerful mages from around the world—such as the ancient pharaohs of Egypt and legendary Taoist sorcerers from China. With her army of undead mages, she planned to defeat all of modern humanity and build a kingdom of her own.

"Come out!"

Having obtained all the knowledge of the Book of the Dead, George forcefully pulled Morgana's soul from Veronica's body with a mighty yank of his paw.

"Damn you, traitor!"

Morgana's soul screamed in fury. Her magical energy erupted into a blaze of demonic fire, breaking through the lightning field that George had created—charged with more than ten billion volts—and freeing herself from its suppression.

She raised her hands, sending a massive surge of magical flames roaring toward George.

"Traitor? I never claimed to be on your side."

George opened his mouth wide and swallowed the incoming firestorm whole. Then, cheeks puffed out, he let out a blast:

"Dragon Slayer Magic—Flame Dragon's Roar!"

A torrent of red, blue, and black flames surged back toward Morgana, burning her soul and forcing her to emit shrill, pained shrieks.

His flames contained both demonic dragonfire and cursed ghostfire—highly destructive even to spiritual forms like hers.

"I won't let you get away with this!"

Realizing that George was far more dangerous than she had imagined, Morgana didn't try to fight back head-on. Instead, she turned and flew toward the edge of the island.

To her, escape meant survival. Once she found another body to possess and resurrect herself, she could take her time seeking revenge on this meddling panda. There was no need to risk everything now while in a weakened state.
