A gaunt, brown-haired woman came over to open the door, exchanged a few words with the police, and sent them away as they lacked a search warrant and direct evidence to forcibly enter. Jimmy could do nothing but helplessly leave as well. It wasn't until the three of them had left the front of the house that the woman reached out to close the door. Jimmy looked back as he walked away, noticing that the person hidden in the wardrobe emerged after the woman gave a signal and returned to the living room.
Upon reaching the vehicle, Jimmy stopped Ray, "I suspect the person is inside the house, Ray, should we keep surveillance for a while?"
Ray waved his hand and pulled open the car door, "There's no need for us to stick around here, I'll call and arrange for someone else to come over, we have other leads to follow up on."
