The winter air bit at Lilith's skin, but her face remained calm as ever—cold, unreadable.
"Ma'am, are you okay?" the driver called out in a panic as he rushed from the black luxury car, his face pale, lips trembling with fear. His hands shook as he looked her up and down, completely shaken.
Lilith turned her gaze toward him, her expression still. She didn't flinch, didn't show even the slightest hint of fear—though the car had come within inches of her.
"I'm okay," she said simply, brushing invisible dust from her sleeve. Her voice was composed, cool, like glass that never cracked.
The driver hesitated for a second, bowing slightly, then stepped back. But Lilith… Lilith glanced toward the car.
And she felt it.
That gaze.
Something heavy… piercing… crawling down her spine.
Her steps slowed as her eyes shifted to the half-lowered window of the back seat.
There they were.
Dark, stormy eyes.
