Chapter 310 - Chapter 310: New Military Unit

With such a formidable army of war beasts, it was no surprise that they could conquer Gatekeeper City.

The Silver Moon Wolves, their claws fitted with metal blades, stood proudly atop the corpses of the Green Wind Wolves, their gaze fierce as they surveyed the battlefield. These fully armored wolves, with the power of the Life and Death Realm and advanced combat skills, had not lost a single member in the battle.

The leader of the Silver Moon Wolves, its metallic claws gleaming, stood on the skull of the Green Wind Wolves' leader. Its eyes gleamed with cruelty as it stared at the Xunyin and Wuxing Tribes, baring its fangs.

It was clear that the wolf pack was eager to charge at the enemy, but without their emperor's command, they dared not act rashly.

Lin Qian was very pleased with the outcome of this battle.

He could now be certain that the Huaxia Empire's fully developed technology, including its Imperial Army and war beasts, was superior in overall strength.

Moreover, there was still plenty of room for the Huaxia Empire to grow, given the unique characteristics of this world and the knowledge they could gain from it.

Turning his gaze toward the Xunyin and Wuxing Tribes, Lin Qian suddenly waved his hand. Five rows of lightly armored soldiers appeared on the city wall, each holding a giant bow as tall as a person.

"Kill!" Lin Qian's eyes turned cold as he gave the command, pointing toward the enemy.

"Awooo!"

Hearing the order, the Silver Moon Wolves, who had been holding back, howled in unison and charged forward eagerly.

"Prepare to defend!" The Xunyin leader shouted, alarmed at the sight of the powerful Silver Moon Wolves approaching.

"Watch out for those beasts' tail blades! Don't aim for their eyes or bodies—go for their necks!" the Wuxing leader also warned his troops.

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

Just as the Wuxing leader finished speaking, the sharp sound of arrows cutting through the air filled the battlefield. Soul energy arrows zipped past him, piercing through his fellow tribesmen.

The speed and power of these soul arrows were beyond belief, especially at such a distance—it seemed impossible.

Realizing this, the Wuxing leader quickly looked up at the city wall and saw a row of soldiers stepping forward, replacing their comrades, and slamming their giant bows against the wall, aiming at them.

In an instant, pale yellow soul power surged into the massive bows, and thick arrows, condensed from soul energy, began to glow ominously.

Bang!

With a thunderous sound, the massive arrows were released, hurtling toward the massive enemy force. Yuan Xiang watched in fascination.

"Form up! Defensive formations, quickly!" the Xunyin leader yelled desperately.

But before the Xunyin and Wuxing soldiers could form their ranks, the Silver Moon Wolves had already charged into their midst, howling as they tore through the enemy.

The chaos completely disrupted the formation of the Xunyin and Wuxing Tribes, and by the time they thought of regrouping, it was too late.

"Fools!" Lin Qian sneered as he watched the disorganized enemy. If they had come to attack Gatekeeper City, they should have formed their battle lines long before.

Coming here with the mindset of a leisurely outing, hoping to conquer the city with a loose formation, was nothing short of a delusion.

Meanwhile, Yuan Xiang was curiously observing the lightly armored soldiers wielding the giant bows.

He noticed that these soldiers could compress soul energy to its extreme limit. Although the arrows they fired were condensed from soul energy, their power was immense, not to be underestimated.

The giant arrows, created by soul energy, not only had an impressive range but also extraordinary penetrating power.

Yuan Xiang saw clearly that each arrow pierced through at least three enemies before its power began to wane.

These lightly armored soldiers had remarkable accuracy—every time they released an arrow, an enemy would fall from the sky, dead or severely injured.

It was especially difficult to maintain such powerful shots over long distances.

However, Yuan Xiang also noticed a limitation. To shoot such powerful, long-range arrows, the soldiers needed to gather their soul energy for a moment.

That's why Lin Qian had arranged for five rows of soldiers to rotate. After one row fired their arrows, the next would step up.

Even so, there was still a brief pause before each volley.

Despite this, it was already an impressive feat.

With just two thousand giant arrows per volley, the Xunyin and Wuxing Tribes were under immense pressure. They had to fend off the fierce Silver Moon Wolves at close range while also dodging the massive arrows from a distance.

The combination of close and long-range attacks forced the Xunyin and Wuxing soldiers into a retreat, many of them already thinking about fleeing.

"Run! Save yourselves!" someone shouted from within the ranks of the Xunyin and Wuxing Tribes.

That single cry was the final straw that broke their morale. In panic, the two tribes began to flee in all directions, just as the voice had urged.

"Don't run! Stay and fight!" The Xunyin leader shouted desperately as he saw his troops scattering. Once they started to flee, it would only make them easier targets for the enemy.

In battle, facing the enemy head-on was one thing, but fleeing with your back exposed was a death sentence.

As the Xunyin and Wuxing soldiers fled, they were slaughtered even more quickly.

"Why are you running!" The Wuxing leader grabbed one of his men and yelled in frustration.

Just as the tribesman tried to stammer a reply, a blade, glowing with silver soul energy, suddenly pierced his chest, then went through the Wuxing leader's chest as well.

The leader of the Silver Moon Wolves stared coldly at the dying Wuxing leader before retracting its blade-tipped tail and turning toward the Xunyin leader.

But before the wolf could strike, a massive crimson-gold lightning arrow shot through the air, shattering the Xunyin leader into pieces.

The one who fired the shot was none other than Lin Qian, standing on the city wall with a giant bow in hand.
