Chapter 219 - Chapter 221

During the day, he accompanied Mikoto, Izumi, and Chika, in the first half of the night, he went to see Tsunade and Chinatsu, in the second half, he visited Kurenai Yuhi, and in the early morning, he checked in on little Hinata, watching her grow day by day.

Time was managed perfectly.

Whenever Kirito recalled these thrilling and exciting moments, he was filled with satisfaction.

"Dad, can you take us out to play today?" Chika blinked her large, cute eyes, her dark pupils filled with anticipation. Over the past three years, Kirito had taken them out to play almost every month.

Now, it had been almost a month since their last outing.

"I'm afraid not right now," Kirito shook his head apologetically, picking up Chika with a smile. "Dad has a mission coming up, so you just stay home and study hard with Mom and Aunt Izumi, okay?"

"But I've already learned all the Ninja Academy lessons that Dad, Mom, and Aunt Izumi taught me. I even know the Great Fireball Jutsu and Shadow Clone Jutsu!"

Chika was a prodigy, no less talented than Chinatsu. Except for not having awakened the Sharingan or Observation Haki, she was nearly on par with Chinatsu in every other aspect.

The reason she only knew a few jutsu was that Kirito had been careful not to teach her anything too advanced, worried that she might accidentally hurt herself.

Since Chinatsu had both Observation Haki and the Sharingan, Kirito did not interfere much in her training. He left her instruction to Tsunade, and his presence was barely needed. Excluding genjutsu, Chinatsu's strength was already above what his own had been at her age in the Ninja Academy.

While Kirito was setting down his clothes, Mikoto, who was busy in the kitchen, overheard the conversation. When she heard Kirito was going on another mission, a worried look flashed across her face.

"Will it be dangerous?"

Kirito gently stroked Chika's little head before setting her down softly. He walked over to the kitchen, wrapping his arms around Mikoto from behind as he leaned in close.

"Don't worry, you know my abilities better than anyone. How about I prove them to you later?" he teased.

"You're so shameless." Mikoto's face turned red as she rolled her eyes at him.

Worried he might say something even more inappropriate or start touching her in front of their child, she quickly changed the subject.

"Alright, go take a shower. Lunch is almost ready. You haven't bathed in days, you must be sweating."

"Sweating?" Kirito raised an eyebrow and sniffed his arm. He didn't smell anything—after all, he'd spent the past five days in a cave, where there was no opportunity to work up a sweat.

Then, he suddenly had a devious thought. His eyes flicked toward the bathroom with a smirk.

"You're right! I do smell a little. I'll go take a shower right away. Could you prepare some clean clothes for me?"

Before Mikoto could react, Kirito had already dashed toward the bathroom.

"Hey, wait! Izumi is still in there!"

By the time Mikoto realized what was happening, it was too late.

A moment later, Izumi's startled scream echoed through the house, followed by the sound of splashing water.

"Mom, what are Dad and Aunt Izumi doing in there? Why are they yelling while taking a bath?" Chika tilted her head in confusion, glancing toward the bathroom before looking at Mikoto expectantly.

"...It's nothing. The soap probably fell on the floor," Mikoto answered hastily, her face flushing red.

Quickly forming a series of hand seals, she activated a barrier jutsu, sealing the bathroom to prevent any further chaos.

The moment the jutsu was complete, the bathroom suddenly fell silent.

By the time Kirito and Izumi emerged, a full half-hour had passed.

Izumi's face was bright red, while Kirito looked incredibly pleased.

Despite the awkward situation, no one commented on it—clearly, this wasn't the first time something like this had happened.

The family of four simply enjoyed their long-awaited time together.

The next day, Kirito departed for Sunagakure.

Since Pakura was originally from Sunagakure, and they were attacking her former home, Kirito chose not to bring her along this time.

Before heading to Sunagakure, Kirito took a detour to where Kakuzu and Hidan had captured the Seven-Tails Jinchūriki. There, he released Fū from the system warehouse.

Inside the system warehouse, time and space were completely frozen.

The moment Fū was released, the Senzu Bean finally began to take effect.

Then, Kirito swiftly unsealed her chakra points, restoring her energy flow.

Leaning against a tree trunk, Fū's once pale and lifeless face gradually regained color.

Seeing her condition improve, Kirito let out a relieved sigh.

Although Senzu Beans couldn't cure diseases, they could fully restore injuries and replenish chakra.

Since Jinchūriki only died when their chakra was completely drained during Tailed Beast extraction, as long as a Senzu Bean was given before death, survival was possible.

After a moment, Fū's eyelids trembled slightly before she slowly opened them.

The bright sunlight above caused her to squint.

"...Am I dead?" she whispered weakly.

"Well, you were dead, but I brought you back to life," Kirito chuckled.

Hearing his calm and casual tone, Fū slowly turned her gaze toward him.

Her expression shifted between fear and confusion. "Who... are you?"

Kirito grinned. "Take a closer look, and you'll figure it out."

Fū studied him for a moment. Her eyes traced over his black cloak, adorned with red clouds.

Suddenly, memories resurfaced—the Akatsuki members, the sealing ritual, the pain of her Tailed Beast being ripped away.

Her face paled, and she tensed.

"You're with them," she muttered cautiously.

"Then... why did you save me?"

"You could say it's a matter of personal preference." Kirito shrugged. "If you were some old, greasy man, I probably wouldn't have bothered."

"...So, does that mean... you want to be my friend?"

A spark of hope flickered in Fū's eyes.

Without hesitation, she grabbed Kirito's hand, her expression brightening.

Kirito smirked. "You could put it that way."

"But since you're no longer a Jinchūriki, and you know too much about Akatsuki, I'll have to erase your memories before sending you home. Be ready."

Fū frowned, her grip tightening. "Wait! I just made a friend! Can't you at least let me keep that?"

Kirito thought for a moment.

"Fine. I'll only seal your memory for one year. After that, you'll remember everything. Sound good?"

By then, the Fourth Great Ninja War would be over, so it wouldn't matter anymore.

"...Can't it be shorter?" Fū pouted.

"No."

Before she could react, Kirito's right eye snapped open, revealing a scarlet, three-tomoe Sharingan.

Her memories of Akatsuki vanished.

All that remained was a vague recollection of being attacked by an unknown enemy.

Kirito sighed. "See you in a year."
