Aiden grabbed his blazer and slipped it on, glancing at the watch. He was already an hour late for his date with Sylvia. "I really hope she doesn't yell at me," he muttered under his breath, hurriedly collecting his wallet, phone, and keys.
Rushing down to the parking lot, he unlocked his car and slid into the driver's seat, starting the engine with a frustrated sigh.
However, because of the bad traffic, he arrived at the restaurant an hour late. He hurried to the third floor and spotted Sylvia on a table, sitting alone, watching outside the large floor-to-ceiling window.
"Sylvia, sorry for being late," Aiden said while gasping.
She turned her head to look at him. Aiden pulled up the chair and sat on it. "You should have ordered something," he whispered, grabbing the glass of water.
"I wanted to wait for you," Sylvia replied, her gaze softening. Just then, a waiter approached them with the menu in his hand. Sylvia thanked him and scanned the items on the menu.
