Medusa quickly rose from the pool, the water cascading down her statuesque form as she moved to stand protectively in front of Aleysia. Her eyes narrowed, an instinctive guardedness taking over her features.
"Are you alone?" Medusa asked, her voice laced with a subtle edge of caution.
