"Haha, thank you for not blurting out that classic confession at the bookstore at the end of the movie."
Li Wei laughed heartily and freely, his lazy and tired mood instantly brightened.
But Thalia didn't. Her eyes formed crescent moons as she quietly watched Li Wei.
"What if I did?"
Thalia stood there smiling widely, fixing her gaze on Li Wei. Her beautiful eyes were clear and bright like sunlight filtering through the towering tree in the forest and spilling over the gently flowing stream.
Li Wei was momentarily stunned.
Thalia noticed Li Wei's astonishment and a gentle smile spread across her eyes.
Li Wei came back to his senses, lightly shaking his head helplessly.
"If you did, there might be trouble. I would need to keep my distance from a minor, or else a lawsuit might come knocking at my door."
Then Li Wei raised his hands in surrender, glancing around at the others.
"I swear, I'm innocent."
