Thomas: Damn.
In his sight, Li Wei slightly altered his direction, slipping into a different spot. Where he once had a full view of Li Wei, now he could only see Li Wei's right side.
The alarm bells went off immediately.
So, was Li Wei planning to use Jefferson as cover to block Thomas, thus gaining an open field?
Thomas had two choices:
One was to loop around behind Jefferson, switch to his right side, and block Li Wei's attempt to break through from the other side.
The other was to speed up along Jefferson's left side, also using Jefferson as cover, circling behind Li Wei to make a tackle.
No time to hesitate, Thomas took a step forward.
With one large stride, he forcefully accelerated, overtaking on Jefferson's left side, charging towards Li Wei. Thomas' feet and hands whipped up a storm, bursting in an instant.
But then, Li Wei took advantage of the momentum, sidestepping to his left, which was Jefferson's right, narrowly skirting Thomas' flying tackle.
