Chapter 69 - 69: Star vs Justice.

"Ladies and gentlemen! Tonight's final match is about to take place! We have seen a lot of intense, interesting, and memorable things in this edition of the tournament! I am pleased with the support we have received and the incredible talent each of the fighters has shown.

When I started hosting, one of my dreams was to host this tournament, and I can say that this has been the best job I have ever had in my life. Thank you all! Thank you for your support! Thank you to the fighters for sharing their martial arts experience and techniques with us!

I hope that the martial arts culture can be appreciated by more people like me and you who are watching and listening to me tonight.

But enough of the chitchat! Tonight's next and final fighters are...Jotaro Kujo and Monkey D. Garp!" Under the loud and excited voice of the announcer, the names of both fighters were displayed on the screen.

This time, Whis' attention was drawn to the fighter known as Jotaro Kujo, as the boy seemed to possess a rather strange power he was familiar with, a power related to time.

He had been watching him since before his arrival on Earth, and this time, he wanted to see if this fight would cause him to unleash that latent power within him. So when both fighters stood in the repaired arena, it was Whis who decided to announce the start of the match.

"Begin!" The gong was struck to signal the start of the match, and the two young men clashed in the arena.

Monkey D. Garp, or simply Garp, was a rather tall, spiky, black-haired young man with a scar around one of his eyes that gave him a somewhat frightening appearance, but there was a passionate smile on his face that contrasted with Jotaro's ever-cold expression.

Unlike Garp, Jotaro simply had his hands in his pockets, seemingly not caring that Garp was running towards him, but his eyes were fixed on the figure of his enemy, and when it was some distance away from him, he attacked.

"Ora!" This time, it wasn't Jotaro who threw the blow, but something that appeared behind him.

Of course, normal people could not see it, but the fighters present could vaguely make out the silhouette of this figure; some fighters with excellent psychic abilities or powerful souls could see it even more clearly.

A colorful humanoid figure with the same expression on his face as Jotaro. His fist was as heavy as a sledgehammer and struck with unbelievable speed, smashing into Garp's chest, who could hardly defend himself against such a sudden attack.

Although Garp's body was thrown backwards by the sheer force of the attack, he quickly stopped moving before rubbing his chest to ease the pain he felt.

"What the hell is this? It's different from the strange technique of the blue-haired girl!" Garp pointed out without any sense of modesty, causing Jotaro to look at him with pity, as if he were a fool.

"What's with that look?" This time, Garp's accusing finger was pointed at Jotaro, who took a deep breath, and small golden sparks covered his body.

"Shut up, damn it!" Jotaro complained loudly before the creature that emerged from his body stepped on the ground he was standing on.

Then the sand cracked as Jotaro lunged at Garp, transforming into a vague yellow blur that threatened to run him over. Instead of being intimidated, Garp burst out laughing as his desire to fight grew stronger.

"Good! I knew you weren't one of those boring, serious guys!" Garp also threw himself at Jotaro, not caring that he was technically in a two-on-one fight.

He had already seen the fists of this being in Jotaro's previous fights, but he thought it was a special technique, not a being that could act on its own, but he didn't care too much about that, his previous question was to get a reaction from Jotaro, which he already got.

Who cared about his obvious disadvantage? He didn't! So his two fists, filled with a transparent Ki with strange fluctuations, collided against Jotaro and the strange creature that was coming out of him.

There was a big bang from the collision and even a crater appeared on the arena floor below them, but Jotaro had an extra pair of hands, his fist was wrapped in golden rays and one of the creature's fists, partially emerging from his body, hit Garp's chest mercilessly, but this time, it was different.

"One trick won't work twice on me, Jotaro!" Under these arrogant words, Garp did not defend himself and let his body be hit, but this time, instead of the characteristic sound of impact, it sounded more like Jotaro had hit a piece of metal.

Garp's Ki had gathered around his chest, turning a strange black color, and as the man laughed, he separated one of his fists, avoiding further confrontation with Jotaro.

This fist was quickly covered by the same black Ki, which seemed strangely viscous and flowed like a liquid. Under the eyes of the audience and Jotaro, his fist mercilessly struck Jotaro's cheek, sending him flying backwards.

"Come on, Jotaro, it was only a fist!" Instead of chasing after Jotaro, Garp urged him to get up, laughing all the while, as if he didn't care about winning, but about having fun.

The fact was that Garp could barely see the strange creature coming out of Jotaro, but he could feel a great threat coming from it, and he could not find the reason for this feeling.

He wanted to find out! If it was something that Jotaro could not or did not want to untie, he would push him until he did, because his only desire is to fight and to enjoy fights, so Garp went to Jotaro, who joined him.

"I can sense something of the nature of this power, psychic power? I'm not surprised, psychics have strange abilities, but that shouldn't be your only power, right? What are you hiding?" Garp shouted at Jotaro before he dodged the blows of this creature, which surprised Jotaro.

"You rely too much on your fists! Fool, even if it's blurred, my senses can fully perceive it. I doubt you'll hit me again if I don't want you to!" Garp said with a big smile on his face, watching how Jotaro's eyes remained serious and focused despite the situation.

He liked that look! So he clenched both fists and the black aura appeared in them, but this time accompanied by faint flashes of red electricity. A terrible pressure surged from Garp's body; everyone on the island could feel it. He was immensely powerful, but the full weight of this feeling was concentrated on Jotaro.

"Unleash your power or be crushed," Garp commanded, but Jotaro just stood up, his body covered in yellow lightning, and vaguely a golden aura surged around his body, but it was so faint that it was hardly noticeable.

This time, the creature fully appeared and positioned itself in front of him, but due to its nature, it did not prevent him from seeing Garp. Despite the terrible pressure he felt, he refused to let his body fall again and shouted with a great fighting spirit.

"Star Platinum!"

"ORA!" the entity shouted at the sound of its user, throwing a flurry of punches at Garp, who fought back with similar speed.

The clash of fists at high speed caused a great displacement of air and cracks in the sand, but Garp wasn't happy with that, so he increased the speed of his punches even more, hitting the entity several times as it continued to scream that strange war cry.

"Ora! Ora! Ora! Ora! Ora! Ora! Ora!"

"No! No! THIS IS USELESS, JOTARO! USELESS! USELESS! USELESS! USELESS! USELESS! Show me what is dangerous in you! I want to see what can threaten my life!" shouted Garp, increasing the speed and intensity of his blows, severely damaging the psychic being's body.

Red lightning bolts were unleashed with each blow, adding to the damage. Jotaro spat out a mouthful of blood because of his injuries, but the golden rays in his body gradually healed the damage and allowed him to stay in the fight.

And with the constant pressure he was exposed to, the golden aura around his body grew more and more, until it materialized as a soft cloak that enveloped him, but had no apparent meaning, at least for now.

"Looks like I'll have to push you even harder, Jotaro," Garp retreated, but soon he lunged at Jotaro again, this time with his right fist, which was covered in black energy, but was tinged with red rays, which seemed to raise the temperature in this energy shell and changed its colour to bright red.

"If this hits you, you'll probably die, and I'll be disqualified, Jotaro! Come on, what are you going to do!!!" Garp taunted the psychic being, standing dangerously close to Jotaro with his fist raised, ready to crush his opponent to death.

He wasn't lying, he really wanted to kill Jotaro if he didn't unleash his full power, or at least he pretended to do so by releasing his murderous intent, but he just wanted to see, he just wanted to experience that he could threaten him to death.

He wanted Jotaro to shine like a star!

"Galaxy Divide!" The fist of Garp was about to radiate a powerful beam of energy, Jotaro even felt that his whole being no longer belonged to him, as the glow of death hovered so close over him... and went on like that for an indefinite time.

For time had stopped.

Jotaro suddenly came to this strange conclusion, the world around him turned grey, the only thing that had color was that man at the commentary table with blue skin and white hair, even when he noticed Jotaro's gaze, he waved at him.

Jotaro took a breath...

"Star Platinum: The World!" The psychic being appeared before him, the materialization of his soul, his Stand, standing before him as his eternal guardian, as it had always done since his childhood.

Never mind the imminent threat now, even though he felt that this temporary pause would soon end, he simply enjoyed the brief moment before he acted, moving his Stand towards Garp.

"Ora! Ora! Ora! Ora! Ora! Ora! Ora! Ora! Ora! Ora! Ora! Ora! Ora!" The only sounds in this stopped time were those of Star Platinum nonchalantly pounding on Garp's body, which did not move in this grey world.

Until time started again. Garp's body suddenly flew backwards, full of bumps, bruises, and possibly many broken bones. His fist shot out a crimson wave of energy that pierced the clouds and even grazed the moon, but fortunately did not hit it directly.

Garp's body fell to the ground like a rag, staining it with blood. Jotaro fell to his knees, with extreme exhaustion in his body, but at least he was conscious; the same could be said for Garp, but the latter could not move.

He didn't know what had happened, but now he understood that he had gotten what he wanted; he even felt that if Jotaro hadn't been merciful, he would be dead now. A smile appeared on his bruised face before he laughed.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! You look as bright as the stars, Jotaro! I should buy you a drink when I recover," Garp said before his eyes rolled back into his head and he fell unconscious.

"That wouldn't be bad..." Jotaro muttered, a slight smile on his face as he stood up.

"I don't know what happened here! But the fighter Jotaro Kujo has written in his records that his true ability has yet to be awakened! Could it be a superpower that makes him ultra-mighty!!! We don't know yet!

What I do know is that fighter Monkey D. Garp has been knocked unconscious and is no longer able to fight! The winner of tonight's final match is the fighter Jotaro Kujo!" the announcer announced in a loud voice, causing the audience to scream with excitement.

It had been a strange fight for them, but a great ending to this great night!
