The autumn morning sun carried a hint of coolness as Shao He sat on a stone bench, holding a freshly brewed cup of hot tea in her hands.
When Pei Huaian arrived, he saw the poured tea and sat down.
"Congratulations, Your Highness the Crown Prince," Shao He said with a smile, lifting her teacup.
She had completely forgotten the words she had said the day before, as if nothing had happened between the two of them — everything was as usual.
"You're not angry anymore?" Pei Huaian ventured to ask.
After all, she had requested to annul the engagement the day before and left despite his pleas — otherwise, he wouldn't have come over early in the morning.
He didn't want there to be a rift between them; if there were any misunderstandings, it would be better to explain things clearly.
"Angry? Angry about what?" Shao He seemed to not understand what he was talking about at all.
