"You sure know quite a bit, young lady," Brother Long's mother whispered close to her ear, "To be honest, I really don't have a business license, but I've got a health certificate, which is at least some assurance for customers."
Xia Lu silently withdrew her hand, thinking to herself that this assurance wasn't really all that great.
"Don't worry, I only sell to our neighbors, we've been old friends for many years, they trust me. I wouldn't sell to outsiders even if they really wanted to buy," Brother Long's mother said with a smile, "Mainly because I'm afraid of trouble."
Seeing her like this, Xia Lu realized where Brother Long got all his skills from.
"I really should thank you for earlier, these capitalists only know how to pull these stunts, expecting the horse to make room and yet unwilling to provide enough feed, where do they expect one to go? If you don't show them some color, they start thinking they're the boss."
