Xia Lu sat in the hall for a while, feeling utterly groggy, her arm resting on the armrest of the sofa, her eyes closed to rejuvenate.
"How did you come here?" Zhou Mingchen emerged from the elevator, striding outward, and spotted her at once. "I've been looking for you upstairs for ages."
Xia Lu opened her eyes, shielding them from the harsh lights with her hand, frowning at him, still in a daze.
Zhou Mingchen sighed, reaching out to pull her up, "Let's go, let's go home."
It was only when he noticed the suit draped over Xia Lu that he realized the air conditioning in the hotel was indeed too cold. She, wearing such a thin dress, couldn't possibly not be cold.
Xia Lu felt him gently squeeze her hand.
"Cold?"
"I'm okay..." she murmured, pulling her clothes tighter around herself, but inside she was puzzled. It was odd; seeing herself draped in a suit from who-knows-where and yet he hadn't continued questioning. That was unlike him.
