The police captain rushed into the room, appalled to see his benefactor squirming under their newest detective. "Detective Lane! Get off him at once!" The captain yelled.
Axel ignored him and kept Ethan pinned down, this time using even more force.
"Did you not hear me?! I said stand down!" Ordered the captain.
As though snapped out of a trance, Axel got off Ethan and defensively stood in front of Brooke, shielding her from him.
Ethan stood up and charged at Axel, he raised his fist to punch him, but the captain quickly got in-between them, stopping Ethan from doing anything rash.
"Mr Halton, please forgive him, he's a rookie who just got appointed. I'll make sure to give him a talking to-" he was saying, but Ethan cut him off with a tight slap to the face.
"Shut the hell up and get out of my way!" He yelled, itching to beat Axel up for humiliating him.
