Brooke pushed open the bedroom door, her heart racing at the sight of Thane standing next to their bed, half naked. Without any thought, she rushed over to him, enveloping him in a tight hug!
"Brooke-" he staggered from the force, but managed to maintain his balance.
Brooke hugged him tighter, "I'm so glad you're okay! I don't…I don't know what I'd do if anything had happened to you!"
Patting the back of her head he said softly, "I'm sorry to have worried you, but I'm here now," he parted slightly from the hug, his palms cupping both cheeks, bringing their eyes to meet, "I came back to you as I promised."
Brooke averted her gaze to the ceiling, "Just…Just don't do anything reckless like that. He could've hurt you, I could've lost you." She tried not to blink, but she could feel the moisture of her tears sliding down the corners of her eyes.
