Cassian slowly pulled his hand from her mouth, watching for any sign she might still call out. But Ravees stayed silent—only glaring up at him, waiting for him to move. He didn't. Instead, he smirked down at her, letting the awkward tension stretch until she finally gritted out:
"Move."
"I was going to," he lied, shifting just enough to settle more comfortably atop her. "But first? Payback for that kiss. Totally uncalled for."
Her eyes flashed."You groped me first!"
"And you could've groped me back," he countered, grinning as he adjusted his weight, pinning her more securely. "Why the mouth action?"
Ravees squirmed, but the distraction was working—her focus now entirely on him, Katherine forgotten. Exactly as he'd planned.
"Get off me! I don't want to kiss you," she protested, pushing half-heartedly at his chest. Her weak resistance only made Cassian grin wider.
"Then why'd you do it earlier?" he challenged, fingers tracing idle circles near the hem of her top.
