The mountain, named after the state of Kenton, stood apart, severed from the main land by water. Though it belonged to Kenton, it felt isolated, as if existing in its own domain. Villages dotted its slopes, small clusters of life thriving in its shadow. Yet, Mount Kenton was not famous for its villages.
