Chapter 81 - Chapter 35 - The Rise of the Dark Lord

The atmosphere of the Underworld was heavy with darkness and destruction. The gate of Helheim, imposing in its shadowy architecture, seemed to pulse with a malevolent energy—as if it were alive. Its ancient runes glowed a crimson red as Lucifer, cloaked in an aura of absolute power, walked toward it. In his hand, he held the Celestial Jewel of Valhalla, where the energy of three of the four stored Segens shimmered like dying stars.

Lucifer raised the jewel above his head, and his voice thundered through the void like a storm:

- Lucifer:"Let the gate that separates the living from the dead be obliterated. By my will, order shall be rewritten."

The energy released from the jewel was overwhelming. A beam of chaotic, destructive light struck the gate, disintegrating it in a colossal explosion. A wave of death and ruin surged into the world of the living, consuming entire kingdoms. Human lands were reduced to ash, elven forests became scorched deserts, and the dwarven strongholds collapsed into maelstroms of despair.

Lucifer took the first step into Helheim, contemplating the hellish landscape that unfolded before him. Rivers of lava illuminated the barren terrain, while the blood-red sky seemed to curse his very presence. Abominable creatures, deformed by the corruption of the underworld, slithered through the shadows—some fleeing, others drawn to his overwhelming aura.

He smiled, enthralled by the chaos around him.

- Lucifer:"This place is so invigorating."

As he advanced, a titanic presence shook the ground. The Earthquake Behemoth, guardian of the now-destroyed gate, emerged from a river of lava. Its colossal body was a fusion of muscle, scales, and magma, with eyes burning with primal fury. It unleashed a deafening roar, causing nearby mountains to crumble.

- Behemoth:"You dare to profane this domain, intruder?" – the Behemoth bellowed, its voice resounding like an earthquake.

Before Lucifer could answer, Cerberus, his loyal three-headed hound, lunged at the monster.

- Lucifer:"Cerberus, show your loyalty." – he commanded with a cold gesture.

The guardian hound attacked ferociously, its three heads biting and tearing into the Behemoth's volcanic flesh. Yet the beast was relentless. With a brutal charge, it smashed Cerberus into the ground. The hound let out a howl of pain before succumbing, its body disintegrating into ashes before its master's eyes.

Lucifer remained silent for a moment, staring at the remains of his companion. His cold expression shifted into something darker—a restrained fury growing like a fire about to erupt.

- Lucifer:"You'll pay for this, creature."

The battle was devastating. Behemoth attacked with overwhelming force, activating its Erdbeben Fluch, each strike capable of leveling mountains. Lucifer dodged with calculated precision, his black wings slicing through the air like blades. When he saw an opening, he channeled his infernal energy and unleashed a lethal strike.

- Lucifer:"Blade of Infernal Judgment!" – he roared, the black sword tearing through the monster's chest.

Behemoth howled in agony, yet it continued to fight. Finally, in a precise motion, Lucifer leapt onto the giant and, with a deadly spin, decapitated the guardian. The Behemoth's incandescent blood gushed like a river, covering Lucifer.

Then something strange occurred. The beast's blood began to be absorbed into the body of the Lord of Darkness. He screamed—but not in pain. It was a scream of transformation. His wings grew larger, his body more imposing, and his malevolent aura surged to a new level.

- Lucifer:"Now, I am a true Demon Lord!" – he proclaimed, his voice echoing through Helheim.

Meanwhile, in the devastated realms, the survivors struggled to rise again. In the sylvan forest, wounded soldiers began their recovery. However, Aelion was gravely injured, his body still bearing the scars from his clash with Lucifer and Asmodeus.

Midoki watched his friend with concern. From between the trees, Belphegor appeared. His presence caught everyone by surprise.

- Midoki:"Belphegor… why didn't you show up earlier?" – Midoki asked, his voice tense.

Belphegor, clearly uneasy, lowered his eyes.

- Belphegor:"I… couldn't. If I had interfered, Lucifer would have altered the plans in ways even I couldn't foresee."

Midoki sighed, but there was no anger on his face.

- Midoki:"You don't have to apologize. I understand." – he paused, then continued – "But it's strange… Lucifer doesn't seem to care about anyone. Not even Mammon, who was recently defeated."

Belphegor shook his head.

- Belphegor:"Asmodeus and Baphomet were weak. Mammon too. To Lucifer, they were disposable tools. He always finds a way to replace those who fall."

Midoki looked up at the gray sky above the trees, his mind racing with thoughts.

- Midoki:"Then it doesn't matter how many of those Geulins we defeat..."

Belphegor nodded.

- Belphegor:"And we must be prepared for what's coming."

With those words, the tension among the heroes grew, as Lucifer's shadow continued to expand—devouring everything in its path.
