Su Chen and Lin Ruoxue walked around the neighborhood for forty minutes before heading back. After all, it was deep winter, and the weather was quite cold.
Just as they reached the doorstep, the sound of footsteps suddenly emerged from behind.
Su Chen looked up and saw that it was Yan Xi, the little girl.
"Back so soon, huh?"
Su Chen couldn't help but pout.
She understood that this girl, fresh out of her cage, was surely hard to control.
"Ah! You're back?"
Yan Xi looked at him and said:
"I went for dinner with Sister Zhao Lin and Sister Ran Ting."
"Looks like you've gotten quite close with them pretty fast!"
Su Chen commented lightly, and then he frowned slightly:
"Did you drink?"
"Just a little."
Yan Xi said somewhat embarrassedly.
"Alright, hurry inside then."
Su Chen said nothing more and went inside.
Since he arrived home early today, Lin Ruoxue went upstairs to continue working.
"What have you been up to these past two days? You didn't even take me!"
