Chiune Sugihara from the Leaf Medical Council presented Ryu with the completion certificate for apprentice courses and said, "I am honoured to present you with this. I hope to see more achievements from you."
Ryu smiled and said, "Thank you."
He waited and then asked, "Speaking of achievements, my company recently made a product that can help see inside a patient using a TV screen."
Ryu realised it was the perfect opportunity to ask Chiune Sugihara directly. Although he would have received equipment testing approval regardless, approaching someone from the council directly would save him time.
Chiune Sugihara was surprised to hear about the ultrasound machine Ryu's company had developed. He thought, 'There was no such machine anywhere in the five nations. We have to rely on the help of Hyuga in case we have to look inside the patients, but they could only see vaguely inside the body without surgical precision. Such a device will be very helpful for medical professionals worldwide.'
Ryu continued, "I would like to conduct testing of the product here. It's harmless, and I can assure you of its safety. However, to meet protocol requirements for thorough testing, I request the assistance of the medical council."
Chiune Sugihara said, "You will have the council's full support and mine. It's time we became independent of costly ninja missions to Hyuga for medical examinations."
He said that in a way that indicated personal support for Ryu, a sentiment noticed by both Ryu and Nono.
Ryu said, "Thank you for your help and for the early promotion."
Chiune Sugihara replied, "Please, the pleasure is all mine."
After Chiune Sugihara left, Nono said, "You dealt with him very well. Those greedy bastards will try to take advantage of you if you give them any chance."
Ryu replied, "I know that. They will approach me in the future. It was necessary to tell them here today that I don't need them. If they ever tried to block me like they did with Mother Yuki's Yukimira, I will have another country to support my research. And I think they know it all too well."
"Other country?" Nono asked in surprise.
Ryu replied, "Yes, the Daimyo of the Land of Rivers was at my home the other day."
Nono was surprised to hear that. She said, "They will not be able to suppress you then."
Ryu then said, "I have something to discuss with Mother Yuki and also share this good news. Would you join me ?"
Nono replied, "Yes, I also wanted to meet her and thank her for suggesting me as your teacher, even though I hardly taught you anything."
Ryu replied, "You have taught me a great deal. Your ability to teach children my age showcases your exceptional skills, sensei, and the depth of your knowledge in [Healing Hand Jutsu]."
Nono saw an image of Kabuto Yakushi in Ryu and became a bit sad.
"Let's go see Mother Yuki now," Ryu said.
Both Ryu and Nono Yakushi went to Yuki's office.
"Hello, Mother Yuki," said Ryu.
"Ryu, what a surprise. How is your training going on with Tsunade?" Yuki said.
##Flashback Start##
Tsunade was in deep thought. She was not sure if what she was going to ask was the right thing to do, but she asked anyway, "Yuki-sensei, I need your help with Ryu."
Yuki asked, " What is it about Ryu?"
"I've been training him in the Senju Clan's secret taijutsu. He's showing remarkable progress. From his progress, I have deduced that he will be able to inherit this." Tsunade said, pointing to her forehead.
She continued, "I want you to convince him to leave the village with me. It would be best for him."
Yuki sighed and asked, " Tsunade, have you considered Dan in all of this?"
Tsunade showed a guilty face. She knew why Ryu refused her, but she still had not given up on him, as such talent in medical ninjutsu was rare.
Yuki continued and said, "Dan lost his entire family. Ryu is all he has left. Taking Ryu away now... it would devastate him. He's finally found some semblance of peace with Ryu by his side."
Tsunade replied, " But it will only be for a few years. They would be over soon."
Yuki replied, " yes but will those years be back? He is still a kid no matter how talented he is. Please let Dan have joy in watching his grandson grow."
Tsunade, after a moment of contemplation, said, " You're right, Yuki-sensei. You're right. I was so focused on his potential, I overlooked the bond he shares with Dan. Perhaps... perhaps it is best for him to stay."
"I will ask him after he is a chunnin," she said.
Yuki replied, "I doubt by that time he would need anyone to teach him anything. hahaha"
"Hmm, you are right; that brat is absurd." Tsunade replied.
Yuki said, "Thank you, Tsunade. I know this isn't easy for you to hear."
Yuki then asked, "Why don't you stay in the village and watch him grow?"
Tsunade replied, "You know why I don't want to stay in the village."
Yuki said, "Yes , I know. It's not easy."
Tsunade then asked, "Sensei, can you do me a favour and send me letters and tell me how he is doing?"
Yuki smiled and said, "Okay, I can do that for you."
"Thank you, sensei. I will leave part of Katsuyu with you."
"That would be very helpful until Ryu completes the development of his communication device," Yuki said.

Ryu showed Yuki the certificate and told her, "I am a certified medical apprentice. And now I can do my higher studies in medicine."
Yuki replied, "Congratulations, Ryu. I am proud of you."
Ryu smiled and said, "I have an important proposal to discuss regarding the medical devices."
"What is it?" Yuki asked.
Ryu replied, "You already know that my company is working on a device that can see the inside of the human body."
Ryu continued, "The prototype I made was not production ready. But now it is ready, and I am building a more refined commercial version."
Yuki said, " That is very good news."
Ryu explained, "I want to test those devices here to ensure their effectiveness in a clinical setting. I have already told the medical council. I will be sending some staff for testing purposes. I would like it if you handled the testing here."
Yuki smiled and said, "Leave that to me."
She added, "After the explosive in the gut case you handled last time, we are in dire need of such a device."
Ryu said, "Thanks, Mother."
"Brat, you don't say 'thank you' to me." Yuki said.
"Yes, Mother." Ryu said.
The next stop was the academy. It was a taijutsu class, and today was a day of sparring. Ryu entered the sparring ground right on the clock. Hiroshi Tanaka, Basic Taijutsu Instructor, said, "You are almost late."
The instructor called, "Alright, today is sparring day. Any volunteers?"
But no one came at first. Akira and Kanji exchanged nervous glances but remained silent.
The Akira and Kanji were not ready to face Ryu yet. They were training very hard to catch to Ryu, but they were still not confident enough yet that they could make him fight seriously like he fought Itachi.
The instructor sighed and said, "I guess I have drawn lots."
Just as the instructor was about to say something, Toshiro raised his hand.
Toshiro said, " Sensei, I'll do it. I'll fight if Ryu is game."
The teacher glanced at Ryu and just said, "Ryu?" without posing the obvious question.
Ryu stepped forward and said, "I will do it."
They had been fighting since a few days after Ryu started training in senju-style taijutsu, and they were now enjoying their fights.
Instructor Hiroshi Tanaka looks at both of them and says, " Alright then. Remember the rules, everyone. This is a taijutsu-only fight. No ninjutsu or genjutsu. Understood?"
Ryu and Toshiro both nodded in understanding.
The instructor said, "Okay, begin!"
Toshiro was first to attack. He immediately takes a lunge forward. He knew firsthand how strong Ryu was, and after losing to him a few times, he started training seriously for the first time since he mastered Senju-style taijutsu.
After some exchanges using normal punches, Ryu made Toshiro take a few steps back using a strong punch enforced using chakra. He still had not used Senju-style taijutsu yet. From the looks of it, Ryu seems to have the upper hand.
Soon Toshiro started to take the lead, and both fought each other to stand still.
Toshiro suggested, "Hey, let's take it to the next level; 10% of full strength should do."
With a determined expression, Ryu gave Toshiro a nod before swiftly springing forward to deliver a punch.
Toshiro avoided the incoming fist by a hair's breadth after sensing the chakra in it, or perhaps out of instinct.
Ryu's fist punched through the air with such force that bystanders far away felt a gust of wind rush past them, a testament to the power behind his strike.
