"What's wrong?"
It wasn't every day that the nurse named Fred was so formal with him, even calling him by his title and last name. That was why Clare, who was standing in front of the soldier's room, immediately asked the younger man.
"The zombies outside the fortress are suddenly acting strange!" The nurse answered while trying to steady his heavy breathing from running all the way here. "Before, the zombies never tried to climb the fortress, but then I heard some soldiers talking about how they even tried standing on top of each other just to be able to reach the other side of the fortress!"
Clare looked dumbfounded. He had only been gone for a few minutes just to call Finn, but the situation outside the fortress had changed. He had never heard of zombies trying to climb the fortress, and that was why he didn't react immediately after hearing the nurse's explanation.
