Luxias Martemnrecht sits on his bed, thinking about what he has just experienced. Transmigration into a different world. A world he thought was pure fiction. The world of Solo levelling. Just like he had read in fanfiction, he was allowed to choose 'some' wishes at least at the beginning. He asked for two Meta Essences since he was an avid fan of technology. As such, he chose the Essence of the Spark for his intelligence and to create bonkers technology. For his second one, he went with the Essence of the Home, since he wanted to have a place to call home at all times and be safe as well. He also wanted to see more than just one world, now that he had the chance.
After he said those two wishes, the ROB stopped him and didn't even let him finish. He couldn't say what world he wanted to go to, and was simply thrown into this one. The multiverse travel part of his Essence of the Home was also 'nerfed'. He now can't just jump from one world to another. This function had to 'charge' if you will, and depending on how dangerous the world is, the faster the charge would go. Something like that, at least. But it doesn't really matter. He is happy as long as he has an entirely safe home dimension.

That is the Essence of the Spark. Overall, it is an amazing Essence that grants me limitless potential to develop and grow, but not an instant power up, apart from the increase in intelligence. I love it, honestly. It is such a good thing to have, and I can already see myself going the distance with it.
This is a world of magic, where hunters, human warriors who possess magical abilities, must battle deadly monsters to protect mankind from certain annihilation. Beings of great power called Rulers constantly fight against their counterparts called Monarchs. The Monarchs constantly try to destroy, while the Rulers try to save worlds from them. The Rulers created these so-called 'gates' to strengthen the world and prepare us humans for when the Monarchs arrive. Such a gate is basically a portal to another dimension where monsters of different kinds wait. Should we manage to kill the monsters, we are rewarded with mana crystals that can be used for various purposes and, of course, all kinds of materials.
From what I could gather, the first gate just appeared this year. The mana or magic energy that was released transformed us humans, or at least most of them. Some of us were lucky and had tremendous powers, while others were barely stronger than normal humans. I, for one, am one of those Hunters without any real power. I am an E-ranked Hunter, the weakest. Hunters can access different types of magic and go inside the gates to clear them. I am not sad about being a weaker Hunter. On the contrary, it allows me to do what I want anyway. To show the world the power of technology.

This body of mine was born and raised in Switzerland—a country in the middle of Europe. There aren't many strong Hunters in the world, and Switzerland doesn't even have an S-ranked Hunter. Those are relatively rare since they are the strongest ones. But don't worry, as the saying goes: Who invented it? That's right, f*ckers, we did.
I stand up from the bed and open the door to my home dimension. The Essence of the Home is a true treat.

Essence of the Home
- You gain a personal home that exists outside of reality and beyond the reach of most entities. This home is practically impenetrable to any being you do not want inside; even a supreme deity could not pierce the barriers in place on this property.
- The home can be of your design, or you can let it surprise you by generating itself based on your needs and wants, so it fits you perfectly. As your needs change and grow, the home will expand with new facilities as needed.
- The home automatically takes care of the basic utilities and requires no connection to any preexisting infrastructure to function. In addition, it has functionally infinite supplies of whatever mundane food and drink you could desire.
- While inside the home, you and anyone you bring will not age, have any basic needs, or suffer from illnesses.
- You may optionally have the home create servants to tend to it while you are gone, or give the home sapience to manage things. The home is utterly and unwaveringly devoted to you. It cannot be influenced to change its mind otherwise.
- This home can travel through the multiverse and can give you passage practically anywhere. It can insert itself into these places or open a portal for you to travel through. (nerfed somewhat)
- Any additional essences will add functionality to this one in the form of extra rooms and facilities, depending on the essence.

Apart from being nerfed for now, this essence is perfect for me. Because the home changes according to my needs. I can set up my laboratory and workplace to research and create magnificent technology. It's like a pocket laboratory, the size of whatever I require. There is no fixed or maximum size.
Walking into the dimension, I am happy to see a rather futuristic-styled mansion. The house can change any time, given that I want it to, but this will do for now.

I enter the mansion and look around. What I am interested in right now is the laboratory and all the things connected to it. And lo and behold, there is a ginormous laboratory for anything I could ever hope for. I find it very interesting that the Essence comes fully equipped with anything you desire: basic food and water. There are fundamental tools here already, but nothing out of this world. For anything better or different, I will have to create it on my own. Good, just the way I like it.
Since I can decide whether or not to have servants, I naturally choose not to. The mansion can keep itself clean and organised, and get me the food and drinks I need whenever it is time. That way, I can concentrate on my work and get things done.
Since using technology is my goal, I will naturally take inspiration from fiction and stories I liked in the past. One of those is the Warhammer 40k universe. It is a pretty cool universe as long as you don't have to go there. Well, to read about at least. It is nuts otherwise and so very dangerous. What I am aiming for is the Power Armour and the enhancements of the Adeptus Astartes. Naturally, the Primarchs are better, but that is not feasible in the short term. The Emperor of Mankind created the Primarchs himself, something I won't be able to do soon. But in the future, that will happen.
What I do know, however, is the 19 gene-seeds that are used to turn a normal human into a Space Marine. All of the gene-seeds can be recreated from the knowledge I already have and the research I will do. The part that was fiction before is probably real and possible now that I know that the world exists. Apart from that, there are so many other potions, serums, enhancements and technology that I can create ... it will be amazing.
So I'd better get to work.

Time passed. The world changed again.
In the aftermath of the death of the dragon Kamish, a dragon who appeared when the first S-ranked dungeon broke, the five S-Rank Hunters who killed him were each given the authority equal to that of an entire nation as a reward for their achievement. From there, the title of "National Level Hunter" was born.
These hunters are said to be beyond S-Rank because they are much more powerful than the average S-Rank Hunter and possess extraordinary capabilities unique to themselves. Each of them has cleared at least one S-Rank gate, and achieving this much is the minimum requirement for anyone who wishes to join their ranks. As a result, they are considered to be the strongest hunters in the world and live like kings, exerting tremendous influence over society and doing whatever they please.
The reason why the top four National Level Hunters are so much more powerful compared to ordinary S-Ranks is that the Rulers granted them power. The Rulers chose one human each to give their power to and strengthen Earth for the upcoming battle.
The current five Hunters are Thomas Andre from the USA, Liu Zhigang from China, Christopher Reed from the USA, Siddharth Bachchan from India, and Go Gun-Hee from South Korea.

As all of this was happening, Luxias was busy working and researching. Since he had access to food and water, he didn't care about leaving the home dimension. The dimension could look like anything he wanted, so he was basically going outside and getting some fresh air, just not outside of the dimension. His work was too important.
He was making tremendous progress. He was going over the basics, intermediate, and advanced stages of all the fields he would need in his work. So naturally, he was making tremendous progress in his endeavour. Perfect memory with infinite storage, beyond genius-level intellect and endless potential to learn, discover and invent new things allowed Luxias to reach levels that would be considered to be ... unnatural. Learning this power is impossible, at least not for normal humans.
Luxias approached the problem he faced by tackling it from many different perspectives. He looked at different fictional stories and worlds to get an idea of what he might encounter and how best to approach it.
Halo and the different Spartan Programs, the gene-seed of the Space Marine from Warhammer 40k, the Blacklight Virus from Prototype, and, of course, the Super Soldier Serum from Marvel comics. Of course, there are many more, and Luxias was also very invested in creating nanotechnology to simulate something like the novel Nano Machine.
And the results were closer than one might expect. But what he decided to go with first was some form of armour, which would allow him to use the energy system of this reality: magic. Therefore, he researched different types of mechanisms that could use magic as fuel to function. Since magic was accessible in the air, and most potently, in the magic crystals, it would work. He just had to find a way to make it work. He wasn't quite there yet. But soon.
