Shen Mo stepped out of the void shuttle and arrived before the massive corpse of Shijie.
The surrounding void turbulence was not violent, but rather quite calm.
With his current mastery of void power, he could walk out of the void shuttle and move freely in this place.
He immediately began setting up an array around the corpse of Shijie.
This array was called the "Taiyin Puppet Formation."
It was a low-grade saint-level array.
The required heavenly materials and earthly treasures had long been obtained through the Tiandao Treasury.
"Setup complete. I can begin refining the puppet now."
Shen Mo gave a slight nod, then sat calmly at the core of the formation and activated it.
The Taiyin Puppet Formation would transform the body of Shijie using those materials.
This transformation would allow the body to accommodate a new soul without rejection.
In the final step, a new soul would be infused into the body of Shijie.
With that, the puppet would be fully completed.
The array had to be completed within one hour of the target's death.
Otherwise, the effect would diminish drastically.
The creator of the Taiyin Puppet Formation was the Jiuyin Saint.
Just hearing the name, one could tell he was not someone to be trifled with.
He was likely a figure on the same level as the Yan Di, Wu Zu, and Huang Zun.
The process of refining the puppet—while not full of twists and turns—was at least smooth and without mishaps.
After several hours, Shen Mo exhaled slowly and looked at Shijie, a smile spreading across his face.
At that moment, Shijie wobbled and stood up.
Its previously fierce eyes now shone with curiosity and confusion.
It opened its mouth, trying to speak.
But only deep, unpleasant syllables came out.
Shen Mo chuckled, "If you want to speak, you'll need a lot of practice. For now, use written words."
Shijie blinked in understanding.
It opened its mouth, and a scroll of sword script flew from its belly, revealing a line of text:
"I have a body now! Thank you, Dad!"
Shen Mo smiled.
The soul he had infused into Shijie's body was none other than the artifact spirit, Sui Xing.
After being refined through the Taiyin Puppet Formation, the body of Shijie was not much different from a spiritual artifact.
Naturally, the artifact spirit could be treated as a soul and integrated into it.
This was precisely the brilliance of the Taiyin Puppet Formation.
Had it been any other puppet array, it would have required a true soul—human, beast, or demon.
"Dad! I feel stronger! I can help you from now on!"
Sui Xing projected another line of text.
Shen Mo nodded in satisfaction. "I don't need anything from you right now. Just focus on cultivating and becoming stronger."
Sui Xing replied, "Okay! Don't worry, Dad!"
Shen Mo thought for a moment. "Right—tell me what treasures are inside Shijie's belly."
Sui Xing fell silent, likely examining its body internally.
After a while, a message appeared, "Dad! There's so much treasure! I'll spit it out for you to see!"
Shen Mo's eyes lit up. "Let me see."
With a loud wah, Shijie spat out a pile of glittering treasures.
Shen Mo glanced over them and couldn't help clicking his tongue.
Most of them were shiny but utterly useless trinkets.
However, after picking through them for a while, Shen Mo did find a few unexpected items.
"A golden bead, extremely hot—likely the saint-grade low-tier treasure, Chi Yan Tian Zhu."
"A broken golden longsword, with a dual-colored phoenix engraved on the hilt."
"And a torn golden page, carrying a trace of true dragon aura—but the patterns are ancient and obscure, difficult to decipher."
Shen Mo stared at the three items, deep in thought.
