[Third Person's PoV]
"Hmmm~" Momo moaned as she swayed side to side, the warm, buttery croissant melting in her mouth. "This is so good and soft."
"Isn't it just worth it being an international war criminal just to have a piece of this~?" Tony teased, walking beside her, both of their hands cradling their fresh pastries.
Momo didn't hesitate. "Definitely. I'd become a war criminal any day of the week just for another one of these."
Tony almost choked, coughing as he slapped a hand to his chest, laughing through each strained breath.
Momo stopped and turned to him, concern on her face. "Sorry! I tried to match your energy… I didn't mean to almost kill you."
"No—don't apologize. That was hilarious." He wiped a tear from the corner of his eye. "You were just the last person I expected to say something like that."
"Well," Momo replied with a slow, playful grin, "you're just a terrible influence on me, it seems."
Tony smirked. "Have I perhaps had an influence on you while growing up? Sure. Was it actually terrible? Of course not. You wouldn't know the meaning of fun without me."
Momo tilted her head, eyes softening with quiet affection. "You're right. I sometimes wonder who I would've become if I hadn't met you."
Then, flashing him a radiant smile, she said warmly, "I'm happy—and I consider myself lucky—to have met you and to have you in my life."
Tony puckered his lips slightly, shifting them side to side like he was trying to hold something back. His cheeks flushed faintly. "And you said I wasn't good for the heart… look who's talking now."
Momo chuckled, the sound light and airy, floating between them as the soft night began to claim the city. The lights of Paris flickered on—golden, elegant, romantic—as if the city was wrapping itself in a warm shawl. Their steps fell in sync as they wandered along the quiet sidewalk, their shoulders brushing now and then.
Almost unconsciously, they extended their pinkies at the same time. They brushed. Hooked.
Then, more fingers joined in. Their hands clasped fully, palms pressing together in perfect harmony. No words were spoken. They didn't need to be. The silence between them was gentle, sweet, comfortable.
Their fingers curled tighter, interlocking. The space between them shrank naturally. When their eyes met again, there was no awkwardness—only peace. They closed their eyes at the same time, soft smiles touching their lips. When they opened them, both laughed quietly at their mirrored reactions.
As they walked, the Eiffel Tower came into view.
The iron structure glowed in warm golden light, rising above the city like a crown. Spotlights traced the sky, while thousands of tiny bulbs glittered across the tower like diamonds. Momo's breath caught in her throat as she took it in.
"It's beautiful…" she whispered.
"Yeah," Tony said, but he wasn't looking at the tower. "It truly is…"
Momo looked over and saw that his eyes had never left her as he had spoken. Which caused her to feel it again, the fluttering sensation in her stomach, the beating of her heart, the inability to keep her facial expression straight.
However, before she could dwell on it longer, he asked her, "Would you like to see it from the top?"
She turned to answer, eyes wide and sparkling, but before she could get a word out, he gently pulled her into his embrace. One arm wrapped around her waist, the other coming to rest at her lower back. Her hands found his chest, her palms resting on the warmth of his shirt, his heartbeat echoing beneath her fingers.
Their eyes locked.
Then, in the blink of an eye, they both vanished—completely invisible to the world around them.
Soft wind brushed past Momo's face as they lifted from the ground, slow and silent, drifting upwards. The street lights, cafés, and passersby faded away below them as Paris transformed into a sea of lights.
Tony twirled them slowly, gracefully, in midair. Momo's scarf fluttered gently as they spiraled upward, rising like a pair of ghosts dancing through moonlight. They stared into each other's eyes, completely in sync, the rest of the world melting away.
It felt like they were floating in a dream.
Below them, the Seine shimmered with the reflections of the city. Boats glided along its surface, their lights casting long, golden ribbons across the water. The Eiffel Tower grew closer, its intricate design glowing brighter as they ascended.
"Tony…" Momo whispered, her voice soft, fragile—unable to say anything more for a moment.
"Yeah?" he replied, voice gentle and open.
"Thank you. Not just for bringing me here and showing me such amazing sights, but… for giving me a chance." Her eyes shimmered with sincerity as she smiled. "A chance to be here with you."
Tony returned the smile, warm and genuine. "If anyone deserves a chance, it's you, Momo. So there's nothing to thank me for. Not now, not ever."
They continued their quiet ascent, floating slowly until they reached the top of the Eiffel Tower. Still cloaked in invisibility, they hovered just above the observation deck, higher than any tourist could stand. Below them, the sounds of laughter and chatter echoed softly into the night. Above, the stars blinked gently in the dark sky. Paris stretched out beneath them, glittering and alive—an eternal city wrapped in gold and light.
Tony brought them to a soft hover, the wind only barely brushing against them. Momo leaned her head into his chest, her eyes closed, content. She could hear the steady rhythm of his heartbeat beneath her cheek, and her breath danced gently against his skin.
"You're warm," she murmured.
"I think I'd be a little worried if I wasn't…" Tony replied, a playful grin in his voice.
Momo let out a soft chuckle, a tender sound that melted into the night.
They stayed like that—wrapped in each other's arms, floating above the world—bathed in starlight and the glow of the city of love. It felt like time had paused just for them.
Eventually, Tony pulled back slightly, just enough to meet her eyes.
"Momo?"
"Yeah?"
His expression shifted—an uncertain vulnerability flashing through his eyes. "I seriously don't understand what would make you think it's okay to share me with someone. Won't you get jealous, feeling like it's unfair? You deserve to be happy Momo, happy with someone that could give you their full undivided attention. Someone that doesn't make you feel like you would have to settle for less."
Momo didn't answer right away. Her expression softened, eyes glinting with something unspoken.
Then she smiled—not her usual reserved smile, but one that was real, radiant, and unguarded.
"And who said I was unhappy?" she asked gently.
"But—"
Before he could say another word, she raised a finger to his lips, silencing him with a shake of her head.
"Of course I wonder," she admitted. "Of course I think about what it would be like to have you all to myself. I'm only human—I have selfish desires too. But I'm not unhappy, Tony. In fact…" she laughed softly, "I feel lucky."
Tony looked at her, puzzled.
Still holding her finger against his lips, she continued, her voice calm and full of quiet strength.
"You need to understand something, Tony. When you truly love someone—even the smallest part of them can mean the world. Before this… before you, I had no place in your life. I didn't even think I ever could. But now?" She gestured subtly to their surroundings, to the night and the stars and the city below. "Now I'm here. With you. Sharing this moment. This… this is something I never dreamed I could have."
She dropped her hand and gently cupped his face.
"You say I deserve to be happy—but happiness isn't something someone gives you, Tony. It's something you find. Something you choose. And I've found mine here… with you… and not even you can convince me otherwise. So don't question whether I'm happy. Don't think for a second that I'm settling."
Tony's eyes softened, his breath hitching just slightly at her words.
Their foreheads pressed together, eyes slowly drifting closed. Around them, the Eiffel Tower glittered with its golden lights, and Paris—soft and timeless—sang quietly to the stars.
And in that moment, above the world, in each other's arms, it was enough.
