Chapter 171 - Chapter 105 Talot's Fury! Negative Energy Appears (Part 1)

North Kai's Planet

North Kai had been idly using his powers to scan the happenings across the mortal world's milky way galaxy.

Suddenly, he sensed a powerful aura erupting from Salari, forcing him to focus his attention in the direction of Planet Namek.

After confirming what was unfolding on the planet and understanding the context, North Kai couldn't help but sigh repeatedly in amazement.

What shocked him the most, however, was that Talot, Raditz, and Salari—who had originally been on Earth—had crossed the milky way galaxy to reach Planet Namek and lend a hand.

Now, with Salari engaged in an intense battle against Slug, the situation had become so tense that even North Kai involuntarily drew in a sharp breath.

"That Slug… After disappearing and hiding all these years, I never expected he had such a trump card. Now that he's regained his youth, his strength might be more than Salari can handle."

Even though Salari had pulled out the 20x Kaio-ken, which made North Kai incredibly nervous, he could tell that the surge in power was still unfamiliar to Salari.

Despite all the gains in strength Salari had made in the past half year on Earth, it still wasn't enough to fully unleash the potential of a 20x Kaio-ken.

If it were Talot, someone of a similar level, he might be able to defeat Slug using just the 20x Kaio-ken.

"Thank goodness you're there, kid. No matter what kind of trouble Slug stirs up, you can stop him. After all, you're the first Saiyan in nearly a thousand years to achieve Super Saiyan." North Kai breathed a sigh of relief.

He was only nervous because of Salari.

After all, Talot was on-site, and with Talot's strength, taking down Slug should be a walk in the park.

Even without transforming into a Super Saiyan, Talot's humanoid Great Ape's power combined with Kaio-ken was already enough to go toe-to-toe with Cooler.

And by now, Talot's power was on a completely different level.

"Woohoo woohoo~~! Woohoo woohoo~~!" Nearby, Bubbles let out his unique cry, which made North Kai frown.

"Why can't I believe Salari can defeat Slug? Don't you know who I am? I'm King Kai! I have that much insight." Irritated by being questioned, North Kai's forehead popped with veins as he kicked Bubbles aside.

Gregory, who had been about to speak, shut his mouth quickly and quietly kept on watching.

They had lived with North Kai for so many years—how could they not know his temperament?

He was just an stubborn old man who refuses to admit his mistakes.

….

Planet Namek.

Salari unleashed 20x Kaio-ken, and her power level skyrocketed to 12 million!

This extreme leap granted Salari a strength she had never experienced before.

Unlike the last time she used the 20x Kaio-ken, this time it didn't overwhelm her with crushing pressure. Although her body still endured tremendous strain, it wasn't to the point of serious injury from overexertion or stress.

[Half a year of training under 200x gravity… not only did my strength increase dramatically, but my body's resilience also grew strong enough to handle this level of Kaio-ken! Brother Talot is already training under 300x gravity—he could probably use a 30x Kaio-ken by now!] Salari mused, speaking to herself in her mind.

From her perspective, this was as far as she could imagine.

What she didn't know was that although the Kaio-ken technique could be pushed beyond twenty times, doing so beyond that point didn't actually hold much practical value anymore.

Talot had once fantasized—just like in those fan-fiction—about researching higher multipliers of Kaio-ken, aiming to master even 100x Kaio-ken.

It wasn't that such a thing was impossible. But only those who had truly trained in Kaio-ken, understood it, and grasped its true nature would realize: Kaio-ken wasn't designed for prolonged use.

Maybe, in a desperate, make-or-break moment, someone could risk it all and unleash an ultra-high multiplier for one final, decisive strike—and turn the tide.

But even then, you had to understand: the more you gained, the more you paid in return.

There was no such thing as a free lunch in this world, nor strength that appeared out of thin air.

Put another way, Kaio-ken could be seen as a special form of training—it allowed a fighter to dig deep and tap into their latent potential through higher multipliers.

But this kind of potential, once tapped, was fleeting—it couldn't last.

"No! Impossible! How could a monkey like you possess such powerful strength?! Doesn't that move of yours have any limits?! Wait—no… You… could it be… You're…?"

Slug's speech suddenly became completely incoherent.

He seemed to suddenly recall something else, and as he pieced together how Salari's power had been continuously rising, a look of terror began to take over.

The legend of the Super Saiyan—he had once mocked King Cold with it.

Never in his wildest dreams did he think he'd face it himself.

He didn't want to believe it. Even more so, he didn't want to accept it.

Rage erupted once more from deep within Slug's heart. As he unleashed his full power, a blackish-purple flame ignited around his body.

"Die!!" he roared, and with that, a vicious, oppressive dark beam blasted straight toward Salari.

This attack was filled with a corrupt and destructive aura—one could only imagine how terrifying it was.

But Salari didn't dodge. She didn't even flinch. She faced it head-on.

"Purple Light Cannon!!" she shouted, instantly firing a brilliant purple lightning beam, crackling with energy and wrapped in her blood-red Kaio-ken aura.

BOOM!!!!

With a deep, thunderous crash, the two energy beams collided in midair, unleashing a powerful shockwave.

The sheer pressure from the energy clash shook the entire land. For hundreds of miles in every direction, the ground trembled.

Dust clouds shot into the sky, and the oppressive energy formed a ki field that made it impossible for ordinary beings to even get close.

The Namekian warriors all released their own auras to stabilize the area. Even Ragar and Nail were giving their all to protect the Grand Elder.

Talot shielded Bulma, while Raditz stood firm, arms crossed, unaffected, his sharp gaze locked on the battle.

"It's begun. The final showdown!"

"Whoever lasts longer... will be the one to win."

As those words were spoken—

On the other side, another earth-shattering explosion erupted as energies collided.

Amidst the explosion, neither Salari nor Slug halted their assault—clearly, both were fully aware of the other's condition.

And so, within this cataclysmic scene, the two continuously accelerated, flashing through space as their relentless fists and kicks surged toward each other.
