"Hahahaha! Really? Your wife is so good to you. My wife keeps demanding this and that whenever I go home." A guard laughed.
"I know, right? Maybe I saved a village in my previous life." Another guard chuckled.
"I just want her not to say anything, especially when we're patrolling during the night." The guard sighed.
"Well, it happens." The other guard shrugged. "Maybe she will understand you one day."
"Or I will just get a new wife." The guard smirked.
"Speaking of a new wife…" The other guard furrowed his eyebrows. "Hmm. There's a woman hanging around during the night?"
"No way. It's past midnight already."
"But look…" He pointed forward.
When the guard followed the direction he pointed at, he saw a woman's figure in the distance. They could only see her back.
Her dress was pretty neat: a white shirt, a leather corset, and a skirt. Although she looked like a commoner, she was pretty well off from her clothes alone.
