A small bamboo tube that was originally placed on the desk suddenly started moving, and a big, dark worm slowly crawled out of it, about the size of two adult thumbs.
The Emperor was startled upon seeing this, thinking, "It's only been a few days, how has this worm grown so big?"
As Zhao Yin chanted, it started writhing violently on the desk.
Zhao Yin continued mumbling incantations, holding a stack of Talisman Paper in his left hand and lighting it. When the fire was burning vigorously, he covered the body of the Mother Gu with it.

The Emperor clearly heard the worm's scream, startling him again, wondering if Zhao Yin wasn't afraid of killing the Mother Gu by doing this.
Yet, a strange scene unfolded; when Zhao Yin removed his hand, the dark big worm was completely unharmed.
"Your Majesty, it's done," Zhao Yin began tidying up the desk.
The Emperor, puzzled, asked, "Is that how you stimulate the Gu?"
