Commanding Spell, a Fifth Circle Enchantment Spell, can compel the subject to follow a single instruction from the spellcaster for up to 30 days. However, if the subject is instructed to commit suicide, the spell will be immediately dispelled. Alamir's command was simple and direct: answer every question truthfully. Instructions that do not involve self-harm will not automatically cause the spell to fail.
Of course, the subject is not completely unable to resist, but every time they act against the command, their heart will endure extremely intense pain.
