Chapter 169 - Chapter 169: On This Day, the Sun God Brought Back a Planet.

Karma.

One of the unique abilities of the Otsutsuki clan. It allowed them to abandon their original bodies, parasitically take over a suitable host, gradually regain their strength, and ultimately resurrect using the host's body.

During the parasitic process, if the host possessed strong mental and physical power, they could retain their consciousness and even use the power of Karma. When activated, the host would manifest Otsutsuki-like features.

This ability was truly remarkable. It allowed instant access to Otsutsuki power without the need for training or chakra refinement—everything came from the mark itself. In that sense, Obito's statement that the ninja era was over wasn't entirely wrong.

Of course, the insane Obito was probably aiming to destroy the world, so when he said the era had ended, it wasn't that simple. However, Obito's consciousness was now dormant, and his body had been taken over by Otsutsuki Isshiki. No one knew what his real thoughts were.

"This power..."

Madara stared at the Karma mark in his palm, feeling the unfamiliar energy coursing through him. He glanced at the two blood-red swords embedded in the ground. His expression was somewhat dazed, yet beneath the confusion, there was a hint of madness.

Suddenly, he seemed to understand the power of these aliens. He also gained a new understanding of what "power" truly meant.

If it's this kind of power...

Gripping the twin swords, Madara suddenly turned to look at the Sun God on the other side—the man whose face still carried a look of lingering excitement.

With just a glance, Madara's expression shifted to one of understanding, and the madness in his eyes vanished instantly.

There was no other reason.

He could feel the wild chakra surging within him, yet even with this power—even with the might of an Otsutsuki—he didn't even have the courage to fight the Sun God at full strength.

After just a brief exchange of blows, when the Sun God unleashed his full power, Otsutsuki Ryuu-style had chosen to abandon his body and transfer into Madara instead.

That alone explained everything.

It meant that, at his peak, the Sun God had already surpassed the limits of what Otsutsuki Ryuu-style could comprehend. He hadn't even dared to resist!

Now that Madara had inherited Ryuu-style's power, that realization had become even clearer.

So...

Just how strong was the Sun God?

Madara swallowed hard and silently plunged his swords back into the ground.

Alright.

He admitted that, the moment he gained this new power, some rather reckless thoughts had crossed his mind.

But now, those thoughts had completely disappeared.

What Madara didn't know was that Karma had basic requirements, and the Otsutsuki's version of it always had some effect on the host's mind. The strange thoughts he just had were actually considered "normal" for someone with Karma.

Looking at the past Karma hosts of the Otsutsuki clan, every single one of them had become mentally unstable—almost like lunatics.

Obito was like that. Jigen had long lost his sense of self. And in the original story,

"Two choices."

Retracting his overwhelming presence, Hyuga Hitoshi walked up to Madara, rubbed his chin, and spoke.

It was clear that, as the antagonist of the ninja world, Madara had the same kind of plot-driven fate as a protagonist.

Otsutsuki Ryuu-style hadn't even fought properly—he had simply fled and transferred his Karma to Madara.

In a way, wasn't this just another way of making Madara stronger?

"First option—I can remove his power right now, completely erasing his existence and restoring you to your original state."

With Hitoshi's current ocular power and control over time, rewinding Madara's body to before he received the Karma would cost him almost nothing.

But in return, Madara would lose the power of Otsutsuki Ryuu-style.

Even though Otsutsuki Ryushiki used most of the power he absorbed from the Chakra Fruit to forge his two blood-red blades, he had still consumed two fruits. That meant the strength he had left wasn't something to underestimate. So, if Madara Uchiha chose the first option, it would be like he came all this way just to gain some insight, without actually obtaining anything valuable.

"The second option—wait until you can fully control the power from your Karma. When your body is near complete Otsutsuki transformation, and he tries to take over, I'll stabilize your body. Then, you'll fight for control yourself. Whether you win or lose depends entirely on your own will."

Tilting his head slightly, Hyuga Hitoshi observed Madara Uchiha's expression. The villain who once radiated absolute dominance didn't disappoint him.

For Madara, this was both a challenge and an opportunity. He had never turned down a chance to gain more power. After witnessing the strength of the Otsutsuki clan firsthand, he knew this power was essential if he wanted to protect the shinobi world and maintain its peace.

And it wasn't just this power—he still needed to reclaim the other Rinnegan from Nagato and resume his path of growth.

"What an interesting challenge."

A smirk formed at the corner of his lips, and a wild excitement flashed in his eyes. Clenching his fists, he let out a low growl.

"I guess I'm really not suited to be like Hashirama, happily building walls and laying bricks. Compared to that, I'd rather walk in the shadows, carrying the unseen burdens for the sake of this world's peace."

As for being taken over by Ryushiki?

Heh, we'll see.

But compared to living a mediocre life, Madara Uchiha would rather take the risk and see what happens. Worst case scenario, if he lost control, Hyuga Hitoshi could easily take him down, preventing Ryushiki from using his body to threaten the shinobi world. No big deal.

Besides...

Whether it was because of some strange connection between the Karma and its vessel or something else entirely, Madara had a peculiar feeling. The moment Hyuga Hitoshi finished speaking, the restless energy within him suddenly settled. And in his mind, he heard a cold chuckle.

He could even understand the meaning behind that laugh.

"So that's how it is? Fine! I just won't take over! If I don't take over, I can stay in this body forever without dying! I'll just sit back and watch you all get wiped out by the Otsutsuki! I'll be waiting for that day!"

Yeah.

You want to use my power? Wait until the transformation is complete?

Sure!

But I just won't take over. If I don't take over, I won't die. And if I don't die, I haven't lost!

Let's see what you can do about it!

Well, that was probably what he meant.

Hyuga Hitoshi hadn't expected Kaguya's lackey to have this much personality, but it didn't matter. No matter what Ryushiki did, the outcome was already set in stone. There was no need to worry about a mere second-stage Otsutsuki genius.

Still, through Ryushiki's short remarks and the glimpses of the Otsutsuki's knowledge he saw with his Byakugan, Hyuga Hitoshi was able to confirm a few things.

For example, when he went all out, Ryushiki referred to him as a "sixth-stage" being. And from the way he said it, it seemed that the sixth stage was slightly below the level of the Otsutsuki clan's deity, Otsutsuki Shibai.

That was expected. After all, Hyuga Hitoshi admitted he didn't yet have the power to break through dimensional barriers. And based on Ryushiki's words, his full-strength state was roughly on par with the power of an Otsutsuki elder. He was familiar with the term "elder." Both the Hyuga and Uchiha clans had them—high-ranking, influential figures within the clan, and there weren't many of them.

In other words, when he went all out, his power could match the upper ranks of the Otsutsuki clan.

But there was one condition—Hyuga Hitoshi's recent burst of strength relied on the sheer durability of his physical body to make up for his shortcomings in chakra. And even that calculation included Kaguya's chakra as a base.

That made sense. Even long ago, Hyuga Hitoshi had never treated his Golden Wheel Reincarnation Tenseigan or the Sun God Seal's Solar Senjutsu as his only trump cards. His greatest asset had always been his body—enhanced and refined through countless correct choices.

He had already made up his mind: even if he gained the power to surpass dimensions in the future, he would never discard his physical body like Otsutsuki Shibai did. Instead, he would bring his body with him.

So, when Ryushiki called him a "sixth-stage" being, it was likely because of his immensely powerful body combined with his modified Eight Gates technique.

With that in mind...

Hyuga Hitoshi glanced at the Chakra Fruit Kaguya had taken, then at the two blood-red blades Madara handed him. Both were undeniable sources of chakra and crucial pieces to fill his weaknesses. He started considering how far he could go if he absorbed and refined both of them.

"These blades don't suit me. They probably wouldn't feel right in my hands either. Besides, Ryushiki's power has the ability to cultivate weapons with his own energy. I'd rather forge my own."

The twin crimson blades radiated an ominous aura. Madara, who had a strong grasp of his own abilities, didn't want to use weapons he couldn't fully control. And ultimately, someone else's power was still someone else's. In the shinobi world, unless it was Hashirama's, Madara wouldn't even touch another person's weapon.

Taking the blades, Hyuga Hitoshi examined them briefly. In just an instant, the overwhelming negative energy within them surged into his mind like a tidal wave.

Killing intent, fear, darkness, rage, curses—countless negative emotions flooded toward him as if they had found an outlet. These blood-stained blades, carrying the resentment of multiple planets, were weapons only Ryushiki could truly wield. At their core, they were a product of two Chakra Fruits. Madara could hold them because he had Ryushiki's power within him—anyone else would have been consumed the moment they touched them.

There was no doubt—these were cursed blades.

But.

Hyuga Hitoshi had already chosen their fate. Glancing at the asauchi beside him, he narrowed his eyes in thought.

Right now, he was still in the shinobi world. While the differences in power systems allowed him to sense his own spiritual energy when wielding the zanpakuto—his so-called "reiatsu"—he wasn't sure if prolonged use of the sword would eventually lead to achieving its Shikai form.

After all, he had always used his physical body to wield his zanpakuto, not his soul.

It's not that he can't leave his soul, as there are many mysterious Ninjutsu techniques in the ninja world, including the Spirit Transformation Technique. However, Hyuga Hitoshi chose not to use it to nurture his Zanpakuto because, after all, this is a ninja world. Whether he can achieve Shikai or Bankai doesn't really matter. But now that a new enemy has appeared, mastering such an unpredictable power early would be beneficial.

Even so, he still didn't plan to leave his soul. Does an Asauchi have no soul? Then he'll just force one in. Hyuga Hitoshi understood the principles behind a Zanpakuto's release in the Shinigami world, just like how ninja in this world study strange and unique Ninjutsu. The only difference is that the research target in the Shinigami world is Reiryoku instead of Chakra. This realization gave him the possibility of forging his own Bankai.

However, studying Bankai couldn't be rushed. Even if he wanted to hurry, Hyuga Hitoshi knew he wouldn't get anywhere in his normal state. Mimicking the power of different worlds takes a lot of brainpower.

It would be best to wait for the right moment of enlightenment after making a clear choice.

Casually putting away his dual blades and storing them in his time-space dimension, Hyuga Hitoshi looked at Kaguya walking towards him in the distance. This understanding woman had gone to pluck the Chakra Fruit while he was fighting against Ryūki. And under the overwhelming pressure of her Nine-Tomoe Rinnegan, she had successfully suppressed the Ten-Tails again. Now, it had reverted from its Divine Tree form back into its grotesque beast form, looking noticeably weak.

The missing piece to perfect the Golden Wheel Tenseigan had arrived!

Hyuga Hitoshi's eyes flickered with a deep glow as the brilliant blue and golden lights alternated. The illusionary form of the Golden Wheel Tenseigan behind him gradually solidified until it became a floating entity in the air.

Golden light bathed the land, and the planet—once drained dry by the Divine Tree—began to emit faint signs of life. This was the unique revival power of the Tenseigan, the same power Otsutsuki Toneri intended to use in the original story to restore the destroyed Earth. Even a small leak of this revival energy was enough to bring a planet back to life.

However, now was not the time to revive this planet. His Chakra reserves were still insufficient. At the very least, he needed to purify and absorb the Chakra Fruit first.

The golden light shone upon the Chakra Fruit, and in the next moment, the fruit floated into the air on its own, accepting the baptism of the Golden Wheel Tenseigan. Hyuga Hitoshi closed his eyes and placed his hand on the fruit.

Unlike the Otsutsuki clan, who refined the fruit into pills before consuming them, or Kaguya, who simply devoured it raw, Hyuga Hitoshi was only absorbing the energy within the Chakra Fruit. Now completely fused with the Golden Wheel Tenseigan, he planned to use it to digest the fruit and then reinvest the power into himself to enhance his strength. This was the path he had always followed, and based on the feedback from his golden finger, it was undoubtedly the right one.

Finally, as tiny cracks appeared on the surface of the Chakra Fruit and its glow dimmed, both the Golden Wheel Tenseigan and Hyuga Hitoshi's aura became increasingly terrifying.

It was as if history was repeating itself—just like a thousand years ago when Kaguya underwent her transformation. Now, her so-called husband was experiencing his own metamorphosis, and it wasn't a short process.

Realizing this, Kaguya calmly took out a meditation cushion, knelt beside Hyuga Hitoshi, closed her eyes, and patiently waited. Meanwhile, Uchiha Madara moved to the side, focusing on the new power he had just obtained. His remarkable perception allowed him to already begin shaping a samurai sword from his Chakra.

At this moment, Hyuga Hitoshi seemed to enter a profound state. He was sensing the true essence of the Chakra Fruit, catching a glimpse of its secrets, and uncovering the mechanism behind the Ten-Tails' existence.

Just as he had guessed, the so-called Chakra Fruit was actually the essence of a planet's core energy. This energy could regenerate and recover, but the Otsutsuki clan's methods were too reckless. The Ten-Tails acted more like an accelerator, hastening the process of gathering energy from a planet. However, instead of waiting for the planet to fully recover, they forcefully extracted its power, leading to one planet after another falling into ruin.

But this kind of planetary death seemed avoidable. The correct approach would be to slow down the absorption rate and limit the Ten-Tails' energy consumption to make it sustainable. However, doing so might prolong the Chakra Fruit's natural thousand-year maturation cycle.

Then, what if he used the Tenseigan's power over time to accelerate a planet's time flow? Would that allow him to speed up the process while maintaining sustainability? But would that also shorten the planet's natural lifespan? Although, in theory, the Tenseigan's revival power could counteract that loss.

So… could this loophole be exploited?

With a flood of ideas rushing through his mind, Hyuga Hitoshi suddenly had the urge to immediately acquire a planet to conduct a large-scale experiment that only a celestial body could support!

He was certain that if this research topic were brought up, the head of the research department—Orochimaru—would be absolutely thrilled!

Amid these scattered thoughts, the Chakra Fruit finally shattered. A crimson glow appeared on the Golden Wheel Tenseigan behind Hyuga Hitoshi, and nine Tomoe slowly surfaced. At that moment, he realized that his understanding of various powers had become more complete, and the full capabilities of the Rinnegan appeared in his mind.

Beyond that, his powerful body suddenly felt… satisfied. It was a fullness he had never experienced before—a sign of Chakra saturation. For the first time, he felt a sense of being "full." However, after carefully sensing his body, he realized that even if he absorbed another two or three Chakra Fruits, he still wouldn't reach his limit.

"This power..."

Sensing it closely, a realization dawned in Hyuga Hitoshi's eyes.

When the powers of the Tenseigan and Rinnegan merged, he discovered that he had grasped a new force—one that could only be described as Creation!

Just as Chakra could create objects, the things he now created with Chakra were no longer mere illusions but had become real. This was something that seemed simple on the surface but was impossible to achieve without reaching a certain level of mastery. At the same time, he could even feel the cries of the collapsing planet beneath his feet.

"Rebirth—Revival!"

Without hesitation, Hyuga Hitoshi unleashed his revival power. In the next moment, under Uchiha Madara's astonishment and Kaguya's admiration, the dying planet visibly regained signs of life. Spots of green spread across the land, forming a lush environment. As vibrant life energy emerged, an atmosphere suitable for human habitation returned, making the distant sun shine brightly again. When Hyuga Hitoshi placed the nearly shattered core back into the planet, it began to rotate once more!

This was the breath of life—an incredible act of creation!

After suppressing the restless Ten-Tails, Hyuga Hitoshi could now clearly sense his connection with the planet. With a mere thought, a gentle drizzle fell from the sky. With another thought, the clouds dispersed, and the sky turned bright again.

He had seemingly gained an unimaginable power!

This was an earth-shaking transformation—the true power that once belonged to the Ten-Tails.

Watching this unfold, Uchiha Madara shuddered. No, it wasn't him who shuddered—it was something inside him!

"It's hard to believe you dared to draw your blade against him. That takes courage, but... it's the only thing worth praising."

Uchiha Madara spoke in a low voice, while the presence inside him remained silent.

But the ones in shock were not just Madara and the entity within him. The moment the Golden Wheel Reincarnation Eye connected with this new, vibrant planet and confirmed Earth's coordinates, the teleportation began.

This day would be remembered forever—not just by the entire ninja world, but by the whole Yang God Era.

On this day, the people of the ninja world gazed up at the sky and witnessed a man who seemed like a god truly ascend to godhood.

That day.

Their god brought a planet back to the ninja world.
