"Zhan," Yibo called when they were lying in bed, hugging each other, trying to relax from the tiredness of the day.
"Hmm?" Zhan, who was clinging to Yibo's body and starting to fall asleep, answered. Yibo kissed the center of his head.
"Are you really okay, my love? Is the pregnancy giving you problems?"
Zhan put his head into Yibo's neck again, inhaling the smell of the soap that Yibo had used. "Ahh, Yibo Ge, you smell nice," he inhaled deeply and released his breath.
"Zhan, I'm asking you a question," Yibo said, chuckling into Zhan's hair.
"Yibo Ge, I'm fine, don't worry. Everything is okay."
Zhan's naughty hands started wandering around Yibo's body. He started by circling Yibo's Adam's apple, then put his lips to it and licked. He bit the area and started sucking it. At one point, Zhan's naughty hand found Yibo's bud on top of the silky long sleeve pjammers and started circling it in a seductive way, causing every hair on Yibo's body to rise up.
"Zhaaan!" Yibo warned.
Zhan pouted. "Yibo Ge, good night. I'm sleepy." Xian Zhan moved, wanting to turn his back to Yibo, but Yibo quickly held him before pulling him back to his body again.
"Not after you woke up the little lion down there... My sweet Bunny, tomorrow you won't be able to walk straight." Yibo captured his lips and started kissing him hungrily despite Zhan's protests and whines.
---
It was a quiet morning in the Wang mansion, the sun just beginning to rise, casting a soft glow through the curtains of Wang Yibo's room.
Xian Zhan was already awake, and in phone call with Hao Xuan though, "Xuan please you and Ziyi handle the Studio, I'm not feeling okay today," "hey Zhan don't worry, everything will be done as if you are here. Take care of yourself," the call end when Xian Zhan start feeling the familiar churn in his stomach.
He hurried to the bathroom.
He barely made it to the toilet before he started vomiting, his body heaving with the effort. The sound echoed in the otherwise silent house, and despite his attempts to stay quiet, the noise was unmistakable.
Mrs. Wang, who was walking down the hallway, heard the distressing sounds coming from Yibo's room. Concerned, she gently knocked on the door before pushing it open. "Zhan? Are you alright?"
She followed the sounds to the bathroom, finding Xian Zhan hunched over the toilet, clearly in the throes of morning sickness. Her heart softened at the sight. Despite her reservations about him, she couldn't ignore the fact that he was suffering.
"Zhan, dear," she said softly, kneeling beside him and placing a comforting hand on his back. "You're going to be okay. Let's get you through this."
Zhan looked up at her, his face pale and exhausted. "Mother, I'm sorry. I didn't want to disturb anyone."
"Nonsense," she said firmly, helping him up. "You need to rest. Come, let's get you back to bed."
With gentle care, Mrs. Wang washed his face and guided him back to the bedroom, helping him lie down. She brushed his hair back from his forehead and frowned at how weak he looked.
"I'll call the doctor," she said, taking out her phone. "You need some fluids and proper care."
Within minutes, the family doctor arrived, carrying a medical bag. After a brief examination, he set up a drip to rehydrate Xian Zhan. Mrs. Wang stayed by his side, holding his hand and offering words of comfort.
"You'll feel better soon," she assured him. "The drip will help with your weakness."
Zhan nodded weakly, feeling a mixture of gratitude and embarrassment. "Thank you, Mother. I'm sorry for causing trouble."
"It's no trouble at all," she replied softly. "You're carrying my grandchild. Your well-being is important to me."
As the doctor finished and left, Mrs. Wang remained by Xian Zhan's side, ensuring he was comfortable. She brought him a cool small towel for his forehead and a glass of water to sip slowly.
"Try to rest, dear," she said, tucking the blankets around him. "I'll stay here until you're feeling better."
Zhan smiled weakly, touched by her care. "Thank you, Mother. It means a lot to me."
Mrs. Wang nodded, patting his hand gently. "Just rest now."
The room was quiet again, the soft hum of the Air conditioner is the only sound. Xian Zhan closed his eyes, feeling a little more at ease. Despite their complicated relationship, he was grateful for Mrs. Wang's presence and support.
As he drifted off to sleep, Mrs. Wang watched over him, her expression softening with a rare tenderness. She might have had her doubts, but in moments like these, the bond of family transcended all reservations.
When Xian Zhan woke up a few hours later, he felt significantly better, though still a bit weak. The room was filled with the comforting aroma of freshly cooked congee. Mrs. Wang entered the room carrying a tray with a bowl of warm congee, a glass of water, and some fruit.
"Good morning, dear," she said with a gentle smile. "I made you some congee. It will help settle your stomach."
Zhan sat up slowly, grateful for the support. "Thank you, Mother."
Mrs. Wang set the tray down on the bedside table and helped him get comfortable. "You should start calling me Mom, like my sons do," she said warmly. "We're family now."
Zhan's eyes widened in surprise and then softened. "Thank you... Mom," he said, the word feeling new yet comforting.
Mrs. Wang smiled broadly, clearly pleased. "Now, eat up. You need to regain your strength."
As Zhan started eating the congee, Mrs. Wang watched him fondly. "You know, Zhan, your long hair is beautiful, but you might want to consider cutting it before the baby arrives."
Zhan looked up, curious. "Why, Mom?"
She chuckled softly. "Well, if you don't, your child might start calling you 'Mommy' instead of 'Papa'!"
Zhan laughed, feeling a warmth in his chest at her teasing. "Maybe you're right. I'll think about it."
Mrs. Wang patted his hand. "I'm glad to hear it. Now, focus on getting better. We need you healthy and happy."
As they shared a tender moment, the bond between them grew stronger, filled with newfound understanding and love. For the first time, Xian Zhan felt truly accepted, not just as Wang Yibo's husband but as a cherished member of the Wang family.
The days passed, and the bond between Xian Zhan and Mrs. Wang deepened. She began to involve him more in family matters and showed genuine concern for his well-being. Xian Zhan felt a newfound sense of belonging in the Wang family, which eased his heart.
And he did cut his hair.
One afternoon, while Xian Zhan was resting in the garden, enjoying the fresh air, Mrs. Wang approached him with a gentle smile.
"Zhan," she began, sitting beside him, "I've been thinking. You've brought so much joy to our family, and I want to celebrate this new chapter in our lives."
Zhan looked at her curiously. "What do you have in mind, Mom?"
Mrs. Wang's eyes twinkled. "I want to host a family gathering, a celebration of your pregnancy and the upcoming addition to our family. It will be a chance for everyone to come together and share in our happiness."
Zhan's heart warmed at the thought. "That sounds wonderful. Thank you, Mom."
Mrs. Wang squeezed his hand. "It's my pleasure, dear. We'll start planning right away."
Over the next few days, the mansion buzzed with excitement as preparations for the family gathering got underway. Invitations were sent out, the menu was planned, and decorations were chosen to create a warm and festive atmosphere.
Xian Zhan, despite his pregnancy, was eager to help. He worked alongside Mrs. Wang, to ensure every detail was perfect. The camaraderie and laughter they shared during the preparations brought them even closer.
Finally, the day of the gathering arrived. The mansion was beautifully adorned with flowers and lights, creating a welcoming and joyful ambiance. Family and friends began to arrive, filling the house with chatter and laughter.
As the evening progressed, everyone gathered in the spacious living room. Mrs. Wang stood up, a proud smile on her face.
"Thank you all for coming," she began, her voice filled with warmth. "Today, we celebrate the wonderful news that Xian Zhan and Yibo are expecting a child. This is a joyous occasion for our family, and I am so grateful to share it with all of you."
There were cheers and applause, and Xian Zhan felt tears of happiness welling up in his eyes. Wang Yibo, who had arrived just in time, stood beside him, holding his hand tightly.
Mrs. Wang continued, "Zhan, you have become an important part of our family. Your kindness, strength, and love have touched us all. I am proud to call you my son."
With that, she raised her glass. "To Xian Zhan, Wang Yibo, and their future child. May their journey be filled with love, joy, and endless blessings."
Everyone raised their glasses in a heartfelt toast. Zhan looked around at the smiling faces, feeling overwhelmed with gratitude and love.
Later that night, after the guests had left and the house had quieted down, Wang Yibo and Xian Zhan found a moment alone in their room. Yibo wrapped his arms around Zhan from behind, resting his chin on Zhan's shoulder.
"Today was perfect," Yibo murmured, pressing a kiss to Zhan's neck. "I'm so happy to see you and Mom getting along."
Zhan leaned back into his husband's embrace, a content smile on his face. "It feels like a dream. I never thought I could be this happy."
Yibo turned Zhan around to face him, looking into his eyes with a mixture of love and determination. "I promise to always make you happy, Zhan. You and our child mean everything to me."
Zhan's eyes filled with tears of joy. "I love you, Yibo ge. More than words can say."
They shared a tender kiss, sealing their promises to each other. In that moment, surrounded by love and happiness, they knew that no matter what challenges lay ahead, they would face them together, as a family.
The days following the celebration were filled with a sense of peace and anticipation. Wang Yibo continued to support Xian Zhan through his pregnancy, attending every doctor's appointment and making sure he had everything he needed.
Mrs. Wang's attitude towards Xian Zhan softened even more, and she often spent time with him, sharing stories and offering advice. The bond between them grew stronger with each passing day, creating a harmonious atmosphere in the mansion.
As the weeks turned into months, Xian Zhan's belly grew, and with it, the excitement in the household. Everyone eagerly awaited the arrival of the newest member of the Wang family.
One evening, as they sat together in the living room, Mrs. Wang brought up a topic that had been on her mind.
"Zhan, dear," she began, "have you and Yibo thought about names for the baby?"
Zhan looked at Yibo, who smiled and took his hand. "We've been discussing a few names, but we haven't decided yet," Yibo replied.
Mrs. Wang nodded. "Well, whatever name you choose, I know it will be perfect. This child is already so loved."
Zhan's heart swelled with emotion. "Thank you, Mom. Your support means everything to us."
As the due date approached, the Wang family and Zhan's came together in a way they never had before. Despite their busy schedules and responsibilities, they made time for each other, ensuring that Zhan felt loved and supported.
Wang Hai kuan often called from Shanghai, checking in on his brother and offering his best wishes. Mei and Fei, Yibo's nieces, sent adorable drawings and messages for their soon-to-be cousin, adding to the joy and excitement.
Finally, the day arrived. Xian Zhan went into labor, and the entire family rallied around him.
The hospital waiting room was a chaotic scene. Wang Yibo paced back and forth, his normally icy demeanor replaced by a look of sheer panic. Xian Zhan had gone into labor unexpectedly, and the entire family had rushed to the hospital.
Mrs. Wang sat calmly, knitting a tiny sweater, while Mr. Wang was trying to comfort Mei and Fei, who were wide-eyed and curious about all the commotion. Xian Zhan's siblings, Zhuo Cheng and Lu Jie, were nervously chatting in the corner, trying to distract themselves. Hua Xuan, Ziyi, and Ji Li had also arrived, adding to the lively atmosphere.
"Yibo, sit down before you wear a hole in the floor," Mrs. Wang said without looking up from her knitting.
"I can't sit down, Mom! Zhan's in there, and what if something goes wrong?" Yibo exclaimed, running a hand through his hair.
"Relax, everything will be fine," Mr. Wang assured him. "Women have been giving birth since the dawn of time. Well, in this case, your husband, but the principle is the same."
Just then, a loud cry echoed through the hallway. Everyone froze.
"That sounded like Zhan!" Yibo yelped, ready to bolt into the delivery room.
A nurse stepped out, looking slightly flustered. "Mr. Wang, please, your husband is fine. He's just... expressing himself."
"Expressing himself?" Lu Jie asked, raising an eyebrow.
"You know, letting out his emotions," the nurse explained, her face slightly red.
Inside the delivery room, Xian Zhan was gripping the sides of the bed, his face a mix of pain and frustration. "Yibo, you did this to me! When I get out of here, you're never touching me again!"
The nurse laughed nervously. "He's just a bit emotional right now."
Mrs. Wang chuckled softly. "Sounds like Zhan's got that fiery spirit. He'll be just fine."
The doors swung open again as Dr. Liu, the obstetrician, came out, looking amused. "Mr. Wang, your husband is asking for you. I think he needs a familiar face."
Yibo didn't need to be told twice. He rushed into the room, where Zhan was breathing heavily, but his face lit up when he saw Yibo.
"Yibo, hold my hand," Zhan demanded, reaching out.
Yibo took his hand, trying to offer comfort. "I'm here, Zhan. We're doing this together."
Zhan's grip tightened painfully. "You owe me so many ice creams after this."
Back in the waiting room, the families were anxiously waiting for news. Suddenly, a loud cry filled the air, and everyone turned towards the delivery room door.
A moment later, Yibo emerged, a huge smile on his face. "It's a boy!"
Cheers erupted from both families, and Mrs. Wang wiped a tear from her eye. "Another Wang to spoil!"
As they all crowded into the room to meet the newest member of the family, Zhan looked exhausted but happy, holding their son in his arms. "Meet our little Shean," he said softly.
Mrs. Xian walked over, tears of joy in her eyes. "He's perfect, A'Zhan."
Yibo kissed Zhan's forehead. "You did amazing, my love."
Zhan smiled weakly. "Just remember, Yibo, you're on diaper duty for the next month."
Everyone laughed, and the room was filled with love and joy as they celebrated the arrival of baby Shean.
The arrival of their son marked a new beginning for the Wang family. The house was filled with laughter, love, and the sounds of a happy baby. Zhan and Yibo embraced their roles as parents, cherishing every moment with their little one.
Mrs. Wang, true to her word, treated Zhan with the utmost care and respect, loving him as she did her own sons. The bond they had formed grew even stronger as they navigated this new chapter together.
In the quiet moments, as Zhan watched Yibo hold their son and sing softly to him, he felt a profound sense of gratitude. Despite the challenges and obstacles they had faced, they had created a family filled with love and joy.
And as they looked to the future, they knew that no matter what came their way, they would face it together, united by the strength of their love and the bond of family.
