The chaos didn't last long after the appearance of Nagisa, Leona and the majority of Volkov's combat maids; the sound of gunfire and explosions faded in less than an hour.
After everything, corpses and wounded monsters groaned on the road, while held at gunpoint, their cries echoing through the area became a warzone.
"Wow..."
Nagisa and Dimitri came back on their matching bikes, with alternate paint jobs, and the married couple suited each other. Nikolai sat on the back of a medical van where the maids treated his wounds.
"Tsk... that stings a little."
"Please bear with it, Patriarch."
The moment they pulled up to him, he couldn't help but grin.
"You look like hell, kid." Dimitri, a huge man who was once Nikolai's goal, someone he aspired to be like. Calm, cool and devoted to his wife and family. "You alright?"
The sharp, grainy voice might have sounded harsh to others, but Nikolai could feel the concern and affection.
"I'm good, Father."
"Hahaha! Calling me dad?"
