Han Zhan and Kai Wang exchanged glances, the corners of their mouths lifting in sneers as they watched the assassin wail, his longing for death turning into an agonizing reality. The man attempted to move, but his arms were twisted at unnatural angles, bones broken and useless.
He strained with effort, feeling hopelessness close in around him. It was clear, he had not been fated to die a quick death. In his despair, he stared up at the sky, cursing them all, wishing for vengeance even as the pain threatened to consume him whole."
