Chapter 96 - Ch. 96 Returning Home!

A month passed by.

A bit more than a week ago, Eiji and the other two, had already started their journey back home.

And with nothing to hurry about, they went back in leisurely pace.

Arriving in front of the massive gates of Hurricane City, they went in directly rather than use the secret passages.

The reason being, their cloaks were now useless as it had been burned by the explosives Eden Dugby had thrown.

So they couldn't hide their identities as they went back home, and with a lot of people that had seen their faces, it would seem strange if they did not use the main gate to enter the city, this would be very suspicious especially if there had been any enemy lurking around!

"Let's Report to the commander and also get new cloaks!"

Marco said.

"Hmm!!"

Akai and Eiji nodded their heads.

---

*Knock!knock!

"Come in!"

Commander Sadou's voice was heard after Marco knocked on the door of his office.

"Hello Sir! We're back!"

They greeted.

"Hmm! Good! I have seen the report from the other teams, and it seemed like only you guys got the bad end of the situation, thankfully no one died!"

"Hmm!! We did not expect something as an explosive device could be created!"

Akai frowned as he said.

"Yeah! That was one of the recent excavated foundings in a ruins from the last era's technology"

Sadou said.

"After successfully recreating the device, it was supposed to be mass produced and handed out to our department as well as the warrior department.

But the sword core was nearing its completion and was clearly more important, so the scholar department put more resources in that project."

They nodded their heads.

They also understood the significance of such a device.

It's explosive power rivals that of a B Rank sword technique!

Imagine an Elite and Master level swordsmen, maybe even a normal person without any training, throwing such things at their opponents without any qualms for ki exhaustion or technique mastery, it was quite scary!

"Also! Here are your cloaks, it was destroyed from that fight, right?! I've prepared a new one for you guys!

For now, this mission could be considered a success, as the other team managed to retrieve all the stolen items as well as eliminating the target!"

The three nodded their heads.

"Alright that's it for now! I'll be calling you in another time for a mission, but for now relax!"

"" YESSIR!! ""

"Hmm! You're dismissed!"

---

After planning their next course of action and bidding farewell with each other, Eiji and the others went back to their respective homes to rest.

They might have been resting for the last two months or less, but there really was nothing more that could give a person a peace of mind other than the comfort of your own home!

Opening the door, Eiji slowly entered the house.

"I'm back!"

He said slowly as he took off his shoes.

"Huh?! You're back Eiji!"

At the kitchen, his master Muri was there with an apron clearly cooking for lunch.

"Huh?! Oh master you're here?! You don't have a mission?!"

Since coming back as an assassin and becoming a Grandmaster Level swordsman, Muri had been in a lot more dangerous missions.

So Eiji and him could only see each other for a few days before either Muri or Eiji would then be sent for a mission.

"Yeah! The unexpected betrayal of Eden Dugby had caught everyone off guard and made the king furious, so nearly every higher ups and high leveled swordsmen from the departments were called back.

Though for the last month I have only been in a single mission, which was quite near and easy, so I have been in at home these last few days."

"I see.."

Eiji nodded.

"Go take a bath for now! I'm nearly done with my cooking, we'll eat after your done washing!"

"Okay!"

---

A few hours passed by after their lunch.

Now, Eiji and his master, Takazawa Muri are in the backyard of their house.

Muri and Eiji were sitting under the tree as they rested.

"I heard you three had quite the rough time in the mission!"

Muri asked, without opening his eyes.

"Yes! There were quite an unexpected means, Eden Dugby had.."

Eiji smiled wryly as he told Muri about his mission details.

"Well.. take that as a lesson, you should always be wary against any of your opponents, you never know what they had in them, what background they have, or what hidden weapons they got!"

Muri talked slowly.

"Hmm!"

Eiji nodded.

"Oh! By the way, Have you heard about your little girlfriend, Lime?!"

Muri asked Eiji with a teasing smile.

"Huh?! What happened with Lime?!"

Eiji's eyes went wide. His voice went up as nervousness crept in his heart.

He had seen the circumstances of Renji, although he wanted to help, but it was something that only those in power could afford to play with.

Muri was also shocked by his disciple's sudden outburst.

He did not even care about his teasing remarks about Lime being his girlfriend.

So, Muri frowned slightly.
