Chapter 44 - Chapter 45: The End... Or So They Thought

The air in Demon Tower shook with chaos. Flames spiraled along the blackened walls, blood pooled beneath broken stones, and the very atmosphere groaned from the pressure of the three gods who stood at the end of the hall.

Yagumi, four-bladed and Hellbound, his red Aku no Eye flaring like a demon star. Gimori, dark sovereign of suffering, a crown of bone sitting atop his melting skull. Hageshi, the monstrous World Eater, each breath a thunderclap, each step a quake.

And before them, broken and trembling, stood Xzavier, armed only with pain, memory, and fury.

"Ready to die like your brother?" Gimori hissed.

They didn't wait for his answer.

The final battle began.

Yagumi moved first, teleporting mid-step, his Thunder Blade slicing open Xzavier's shoulder. Blood exploded, staining the ground. Before he could scream, Hageshi grabbed him by the leg and slammed him like a ragdoll into the obsidian wall, shattering bones.

Gimori's fingers danced, summoning demonic spikes from the ground that pierced into Xzavier's back, one by one. Crimson lightning raged around them as Yagumi stabbed down with the Galaxy Blade, piercing Xzavier's thigh.

He coughed blood, eyes wide with agony.

Yet, he fought.

With one desperate heave, Xzavier released a Sacred Flame Pulse, blasting the three away. He stood—barely—his Sacred Eye flickering, his blades shuddering from exhaustion.

"I'm not done!" he roared.

But they came again.

Hageshi pounded his fists into Xzavier's ribs, pulverizing them. Gimori summoned phantoms of the dead to scream in his ears, and Yagumi struck with precise, surgical cruelty—slashes that didn't just injure but humiliated.

One eye swollen shut. One arm dislocated. His vision blurred. His breath came shallow.

He collapsed.

Then the world went black.

---

In his dream, Xzavier stood in a white void.

A figure approached him—familiar.

Levine.

But this Levine wore the white robes of the Dawn's Awakening.

"You never understood me, Xzavier," dream-Levine said, his voice soft.

"Why… why were you so cruel?"

Levine turned his back. "Because someone had to be. You weren't strong enough. I saw that every day. So I pushed you. Harder than anyone else."

"I hated you for it."

"I know. And I hated myself. But you needed to awaken. Because I knew what was coming. I joined the Dawn's Awakening not to betray you... but to prepare you. To survive this hell."

Xzavier dropped to his knees.

"I failed you."

"No, Xzavier," Levine said, smiling. "You endured."

Then the void shattered—

---

—and he gasped awake.

His body was wrapped in bandages, blood-soaked and twitching.

"Xzavier."

A voice. Real. Alive.

He looked up.

Levine stood before him, arm over Kaze's shoulder, the Shadow Blade gripped tight in his hand.

"You didn't think I'd die that easily, did you?" Levine smirked, bruised but standing.

Kaze grinned. "We're not letting you do this alone anymore."

Xzavier wept silently.

Levine turned to both boys, raising the blade.

"No more running. No more fear. We are the legacy of the fallen. Raijin. Gara. The Princess. They believed in us. So now we rise. Now we fight!"

Their energy ignited like a storm.

Xzavier's Sacred Eye burst into golden light. His Flame Blade roared. His body, though battered, stood tall.

Kaze summoned his Tempest Cloak—lightning dancing in a whirlwind.

Levine embraced the Shadow entirely—his body vanishing between flashes of darkness and light.

The trio soared into the air, their bodies glowing.

At the far end, Yagumi, Gimori, and Hageshi rose into the air as well. Each going full power.

Gimori's body burst open into a demonic hydra, limbs writhing with black fire. Hageshi's form enlarged, flesh cracking to reveal magma and void. Yagumi's eyes multiplied across his chest, and wings of cosmic ash flared behind him.

The world could no longer contain them.

Then came the final cries.

"DIVINE ART: LEGENDARY WAVE!!!" Xzavier, Kaze, and Levine screamed as one, unleashing a triple beam of golden flame, black lightning, and shadow wrath.

"HELLISH ART: DEMON WAVE!!!" Yagumi, Gimori, and Hageshi shrieked, their beam of pure oblivion and sorrow roaring forward.

The beams clashed midair.

The earth split. Skies turned black. Oceans rose in defiance.

The collision birthed a storm of gods.

And slowly, slowly... Everything and Everyone felt this power. This clash literally shifted the balance of reality and the pressure that was being exerted began imploding and crushing the earth and within a few minutes... KaBOOM, everything, gone

The Demon Wave consumed the Legendary Wave.

Xzavier's scream cracked.

Levine's arm snapped from the pressure.

Kaze's cloak disintegrated.

And then—

Silence.

They fell.

Three broken warriors, their bodies crashing to the ruined land.

Dead.

---

The End… or so they thought.

God stood, gazing upon the space in which earth once was, Titanus and his divine wolves gazed with him.

God cleared his throat "Xzavier failed, Titanus." Titanus bowed his head in disappointment, "I know my lord, and Gimori's immortal so he most likely would've survived that. but It's alright, already anticipated his failure. Now that we know how his story ends, it'll be easier to make a few tweaks." God averted his gaze to Titanus, "So you want me to rewind his entire life?" "I know it's a stretch but I guarantee you that this time he'll defeat Gimori." Titanus said. "Very well..." God raises his hand and rewinds everything until the night of Xzavier's birth.

Titanus commands Jiyū and Jundo to seal the Titan blade within Xzavier.
