Thor struck first
He launched himself upward, Mjolnir alight with divine lightning. He hurled the hammer at Galactus' face with a thunderous roar, a bolt of energy the size of a mountain trailing behind it. Mjolnir struck true, slamming into Galactus' cheek.
There was a boom that echoed like thunder across a silent sky.
Galactus… merely turned his head.
The blow hadn't moved him—not even an inch.
Thor caught Mjolnir as it returned and unleashed another barrage, this time aiming for the chest. Arcs of pure divine lightning struck like spears, skewering through space itself.
Galactus' chest glowed faintly from the impact... before the glow faded.
Captain Marvel was next.
She streaked forward, cosmic energy leaving a burning trail, and punched Galactus in the eye—a direct hit, delivering enough energy to vaporize a moon. Then she fired a continuous beam of condensed solar power at point-blank range.
Galactus simply closed his eye... like swatting away a speck of dust.
Doctor Strange opened a portal above Galactus' shoulder, launching an incantation enhanced by three forbidden grimoires. Runes spiraled outward, seeking to bind his arm. Thousands of chains made of spell-forged thought wrapped around his wrist.
Galactus flexed.
The chains shattered. The magic dispersed like mist beneath a hurricane.
Strange's eyes widened. That should've held a god.
Hulk launched himself next, rocketing like a green missile, roaring as he slammed a titanic punch into Galactus' wrist. The shockwave could've leveled an entire continent.
Galactus looked down.
"Insects…"
A faint flick of his fingers sent Hulk hurtling backwards, smashing into a meteor and splitting it in two. Hulk roared again and came back angrier, but even his limitless rage was nothing in front of Galactus' indifference.
Then came Aiden.
He didn't rush. He floated forward, graceful and calm, wings of wind parting the stardust behind him. The crown on his head glowed with divine light. His armor shimmered with water-infused magic. The massive Light Shield in his hand flared as he lifted it.
And when he struck—Galactus finally blinked.
Aiden slammed his shield directly into Galactus' chin, light bending around the impact. The beam of energy that followed it carved through space like a comet—imbued with dragon force, light magic, and pressure from gale-force winds. The blow sent a ripple across Galactus' jaw.
Not pain. Not damage. But a reaction.
Galactus looked… interested.
He brought his hand down toward Aiden like swatting a gnat with a mountain.
The hand connected.
A blinding flash.
When the light cleared—Aiden was still there.
Shield raised. Armor intact. Crown still glowing.
Not a single scratch.
His Azure Dragon Form had held—unshaken, undamaged.
The Avengers regrouped.
Hulk was panting in rage, face bleeding through his mask. Thor's lightning was still sparking, but his brow was furrowed. Strange had summoned another spell—but there was hesitation. Even Captain Marvel had stopped firing, floating in disbelief.
And Galactus… still had his arms crossed.
He hadn't even gone all out.
"So," the Devourer spoke. "This… is Earth's mightiest defense?"
Aiden's shield shimmered briefly before dissolving into motes of golden light. In its place, his hand reached outward, and a massive blade—forged entirely from condensed Light Magic—materialized in his grip. It gleamed like a fragment of a fallen star, humming with energy so pure it made space tremble around its edges.
He vanished in an instant—a blur of wind and starlight.
SLASH!
The sword carved across Galactus' cheek, drawing blood—or what resembled it. The wound didn't gush, but a thick, slow-moving substance of crimson-purple leaked down his cosmic flesh. It glowed faintly as if made of dying stars.
Galactus blinked… surprised.
"Fascinating…" he rumbled, touching the gash. "A mortal blade… that wounds."
Aiden darted away before the Devourer's massive hand could swat him, twisting through space using bursts of Wind Dragon Magic. Every flap of his ethereal wings created spiraling currents that let him shift directions mid-charge with inhuman speed.
Then came another—
He slashed upward, sending a beam of light and compressed air ripping up Galactus' torso. The impact rippled his armor slightly—another mark. Another cut.
Thor roared and followed up, hurling Mjolnir straight into Galactus' shoulder. A chain of lightning followed, wrapping around his arm.
"NOW!" yelled Strange.
Crimson bands of Cyttorak wrapped around Galactus' wrist just as Thor's lightning struck. Strange opened dozens of portals at once, bombarding Galactus with spells from across realms—fire from Muspelheim, void chains from the Dark Dimension, mirror blasts from the Astral Plane.
Captain Marvel returned in a blazing arc from behind, recharged and burning with fury, driving both fists into Galactus' back like twin suns.
Hulk, leaping from the shattered remains of the Goliath ship, slammed both fists into Galactus' knee in mid-flight, roaring with gamma-charged fury.
And through it all—Aiden kept moving, his sword a blur of light and fury, striking where the others distracted, slashing where no normal blow could land.
Galactus raised his hand to swat the young warrior—
SLASH!Aiden carved through the fingers and rolled above the blow.
A faint glow traced over Aiden's shoulder as a cosmic beam clipped him, but the Water-infused armor on his body shimmered and reconstructed itself, scales regenerating instantly like living armor. He used the burst of wind from his wings to spin midair and land another brutal blow across Galactus' helm.
The battle had become a symphony of effort—of raw power, refined skill, and unrelenting teamwork.
But Galactus?
Still hadn't moved.
And then he did.
From between the towering horns of his helmet, a purple energy began to form—a sphere of power so dense it bent the stars behind it. It pulsed, feeding on the cosmic web around them. Reality groaned as the light began to twist into a singularity.
Aiden's eyes widened beneath his helm.
"EVERYONE, MOVE—!"
Too late.
BOOM.
The energy descended, splitting into five beams of concentrated Force, each locking onto a hero.
The sky lit up like Judgment Day.
Captain Marvel was the first struck—blasted clear into the depths of space, her flame trailing like a dying sun.
Hulk took the full brunt and was hurled like a meteor into the remains of the Goliath ship. The explosion sent chunks of debris scattering for miles.
Strange spun a portal in front of his blast at the last possible second, the spell redirecting it harmlessly into the void. He collapsed to one knee—drenched in sweat.
Thor raised Mjolnir, channeling every ounce of storm he could summon. Lightning met cosmic death in the middle, erupting in a titanic clash—but he held, barely.
And Aiden—
The blast struck him dead-on.
His Azure armor exploded in light as the impact swallowed him.
When the flash faded—
He was still standing.
Burn marks glowed across his chest, but the water-infused armor was already restoring itself, steam and glowing mist rising from the healing process. His eyes were locked on Galactus.
But they weren't calm anymore.
They were furious.
"So that's it… huh?"
He glanced around. Hulk was buried. Carol—gone. Thor panting. Strange barely up. Surfer… watching in solemn silence.
"I've seen enough."
The crown above his head fractured and vanished. The winds around him stopped. The water armor rippled—and faded.
Then… a pulse of crimson-black energy surged from Aiden's chest.
His wings curled inward. His eyes dimmed.
And when they opened again—they were glowing red.
"Azure's not enough," Aiden whispered, as the air around him grew heavy and hot.
"It's time... for something stronger."
