Chapter 45 - Julia's first day at work.

William was consumed with anger and frustration. Sharon, paid him a visit and urged him to leave the country. "You can't fight the Wellington Family," Sharon said. "They're too powerful."

William was in disbelief. "How can Max be the president of Darius' Group? Have you finally confirmed it? Sharon nodded slightly, even Jessica found that out too, more so his slate is clean.

But he doesn't look it. Does Julia know?

Julia might not be aware of her husband's power identity. I doubt she has any idea.

Sharon confirmed it, citing a reliable source. William couldn't accept it; it shattered his sense of superiority and plans for revenge.

Desperate, William called Jessica, the private investigator he had hired to dig into Julia's past. The investigator arrived with information that stunned William: Julia had once given birth and suffered from depression. William felt betrayed, confirming Julia had been involved with another man while they were dating.

"This information is enough to ruin her," William said grimly. He planned to expose Julia's past to Max, hoping to tarnish her reputation and end her ambitions of joining the Wellington Family.

At the same time, Julia and Lilian met with the chief designer, Audrey Carlton. Audrey, though initially skeptical of Julia's qualifications, assigned her to minor tasks. Julia didn't mind; she was eager to learn and prove herself.

Meanwhile, Sean, true to his word, visited Julia at the office the next day. His presence was a pleasant surprise, and he brought an air of lightheartedness that brightened the atmosphere. He chatted with the staff, making everyone feel at ease, and offered Julia encouragement in her new role.

As Sean eft, he gave Julia a knowing look. "Take care, Julia," he said warmly. "And remember, the Wellington Family takes care of its own."

Julia smiled, feeling more confident. She knew she had allies in Max and Sean, and she was determined to make the most of her opportunities.

They settled into their new roles, Julia's mind kept wandering back to William's threat and the unsettling news Samantha had shared. She couldn't shake off a growing sense of unease, worried that her past might catch up with her and complicate things with Max. Max, on the other hand, was in deep thought during his meeting with the bank president.

He couldn't stop thinking about Julia and the future they might have together. He had gone to great lengths to ensure her safety and stability, even orchestrating the downfall of William's company to eliminate any potential threats to her. After the meeting, Max made a call to Samuel Kerry, the trusted employee he had stationed at the branch office. "Keep an eye on Julia," Max instructed.

"Report any unusual behavior or if anyone from her past tries to contact her."" Understood, sir," Samuel replied, knowing the importance of his task. He was aware of the delicate situation surrounding Julia and her history with William, and Max's deep concern for her well-being was evident. As Julia and Lilian completed their tasks for the day, Julia felt a mixture of excitement and apprehension.

She was determined to prove herself and not let anything derail her progress. When the workday ended, Max was waiting outside the building, just as he had promised. Julia smiled as she approached him, grateful for his support. As they drove home, Julia couldn't help but bring up the conversation she'd had with Linda." Max," she began hesitantly, "I heard about William's law firm. It seems like everything is falling apart for him." Max glanced at her, his expression unreadable. "Yes, it's unfortunate, but he brought it upon himself."

The days went by with Julia and Max becoming closer. They spent their evenings sharing stories, cooking together, and discussing their future. Max's constant support and presence made Julia feel more secure, yet she couldn't fully shake off the lingering anxiety caused by William's ominous threats. One evening, as they sat on the balcony enjoying the sunset, Julia finally opened up about her fears. "Max, I keep thinking about what William said. I can't help but worry that he might still try to do something to harm us," she admitted, her voice tinged with concern.

The next day at the office, Julia was given lots of work to do, while the others were lazy about.

Lilian, feeling sorry for Julia, approached her. She said, "So you're going to keep doing chores like this?"

Julia smiled: "When you don't have the ability to say no, you should keep a low profile. Well, don't worry about me. This little thing doesn't bother me. I usually do more at home than this."

The consequence of her refusal would now be that the entire department will isolate her, if at all she listens to Lilian, making it even more difficult for her to move forward.

Lilian thought it made sense, and said,"I see, they are just jealous of your beauty. You are so beautiful, and your husband is willing to let you go to work. Aren't you afraid of being missed?"

Julia remembered what Max had said to her in the morning, and immediately reacted, muttering:"No.

Lilian asked,"What are you sure?"

"It's okay." Julia said with a smile, "I'll send the materials over first."

Lilian didn't disturb Julia's work, she quietly returned to her seat, drank her coffee, and read fashion magazines.

When Julia returned from delivering the materials,

She walked pass the bathroom. As soon as she got closer, she heard the sound of a woman crying in the cubicle.

She took a closer look and was stunned by the scene in front of her.

A pregnant woman with a big belly is sitting on the ground, her amniotic fluid is broken, and she is about to give birth.

The pregnant woman must have also been frightened by the sudden physical reaction. Her voice showed panic:

"Help me, hurry up, call an ambulance, I'm about to give birth."

Julia regained her senses, and quickly took out her mobile phone to make a call, and comforted the pregnant woman: "Don't be afraid, take a deep breath, it's okay."

Immediately, the call got connected, she said eagerly: "A pregnant woman is about to give birth, and the amniotic fluid has broken. She is in the hallway of the Darius Office Building..."

After the phone call, she  watched the amniotic fluid flow out of the pregnant woman, and she was a little flustered.

The pregnant woman grabbed Julia's clothes and said in fear: "My baby will be fine, right, will he be okay? My due date is not here yet, and it's still a month away."

"It'll be fine, trust me." Julia was actually not sure, but she is the spiritual pillar of the pregnant woman now, and so she can't make the pregnant woman panic, she can only comfort her calmly.

She glanced at the badge on the pregnant woman's chest. She was also from the same company. She was the manager of the sales department next door, Wendy George .

Wendy took a deep breath, she was in a panic, clutching Julia's hand tightly, her limbs were weak, and her voice was crying:"I have been looking forward to having a child for ten years. If something happens, it will kill me."

"It's okay, it's okay, Julia repeated." She  said: "Follow me, she took the pregnant woman to a more comfortable place, take a deep breath, relax, lie on my lap and don't move, this will reduce the loss of amniotic fluid."

The movement quickly alarmed the colleagues outside, and several colleagues came in to watch.

Seeing that someone was about to have a baby, they all rushed to help.

Soon, the ambulance came, and several people worked together to send the pregnant woman to the hospital.

Wendy kept pulling Julia: "Please come with me, I'm afraid."

She became Wendy's pillar at this time.

She nodded slightly. "Okay,I'll go with you.
