"Sigh!" Aether let out a soft sigh, but his emotions didn't fluctuate much. Instead, he remained calm.
There was indeed a gap between them.
Sometimes, even the slightest gap can be as vast as the heavens, and this is undeniable. Even if the difference seems small, when it accumulates, it becomes an insurmountable gap. A comeback? Impossible! A gap is a gap, and without divine artifacts or absolute trump cards, failure is inevitable.
However, Aether knew that the gap between him and the Fire of the Sun was merely a matter of time. His future had a limit for growth, and all he had to do was progress steadily. In other words, taking things slowly would yield the best result.
Aether understood this well and was prepared. Once the matter with the Fire of the Sun was settled, he planned to devote himself to intense training.
"Your Majesty..." he murmured. "You have prepared everything for me. If I can't even put in the effort, then it's my own failure."
Aether's eyes flickered with determination. After a brief moment, he calmly shook his head, suppressing his thoughts. No matter what, everything was laid out before him. His task was simple: keep working hard, and that was enough. This was the most fundamental and core issue.
As for everything else? It didn't matter. Aether maintained his inner tranquility, feeling a sense of peace and detachment about these matters.
After a moment, Aether spoke calmly: "Moirai, Ceres, Karl, it's time to act. I can't capture the Fire of the Sun perfectly by myself."
"Understood."
Ceres, Karl, and Moirai, the three Underworld God-Kings, acted simultaneously.
"Roar!"
As the four Underworld God-Kings joined forces, even though the Fire of the Sun fought back with all its might, the outcome was already decided. There was no way it could resist, and everything was destined to end here. After a brief standoff, facing four opponents, the Fire of the Sun was eventually swallowed by a massive black hole that appeared out of nowhere, disappearing completely.
The four Underworld Gods exhaled in relief.
To be honest, victory was never really difficult for these four. In fact, calling it easy would not be an exaggeration. When four God-Kings join forces against another God-King, even if there's a difference in strength, numbers can easily overwhelm quality. This was beyond question.
What mattered wasn't whether they could win, but how to secure a complete victory. It wasn't a joke—though victory seemed within reach, truly subduing the Fire of the Sun intact was crucial. Any mishap would be a huge blow to the Underworld.
"Let's go," Aether said softly.
"Agreed."
The four Underworld Gods quietly departed. No one dared stop them. After all, if the Sea or Heaven Realms tried anything, it would be foolish.
The Underworld wasn't to be trifled with. Its power was terrifying, even frightening.
The Underworld King? He was undeniably the most powerful God-King, unmatched even by the Titan God-King during his prime at the same level. There was no comparison.
If you aren't on the same level, you can't hope to win. Don't even try.
As for going beyond? Well, Erebos and Nyx wouldn't hesitate to step in, and when the battle reaches the Ancient God level, how could the Sea and Heaven Realms compete? With their lives on the line?
Clearly, they couldn't.
The four Underworld Gods left the Star Realm under everyone's watchful gaze. After departing, they traveled to the far north of the Earthly Realm, where they returned to the Underworld.
Their return wasn't difficult, but they still followed the rules. Ignoring these rules would suggest that entering the Underworld required no decorum. Rules, from their inception, must be followed by everyone, especially the Underworld Gods, who must lead by example. This was not just important but obvious.
On the other side:
As the four Underworld Gods returned to the Underworld, Aether held the black hole in one hand and said softly, "I will go report to His Majesty."
"Understood."
Ceres, Karl, and Moirai nodded and left. They didn't need to do anything else; they were going back to continue their training.
Even though their potential had limits and, in theory, their growth through training was also restricted, whether they had limits or not was one thing. Whether they chose to work hard was another matter entirely. If they didn't put in the effort, it would be laughable!
The three Underworld Gods returned to their respective realms in the Underworld.
In the Pure Land:
Persephone spoke softly, "Husband, the third divine beast has been captured. The earth, water, and fire elements are now in place. We're just one step away from the wind beast."
Hades slowly opened his eyes. His pitch-black gaze seemed to contain everything.
"The era of heroes is coming. The wind beast will naturally be born when the time is right. Rushing things would be pointless," Hades said calmly.
Earth, water, and fire! To be honest, this wasn't something he had anticipated. Even he hadn't expected the three divine beasts to be found so smoothly.
As for the final wind beast?
There's no need to rush. Hades knew that with patience, the final step would eventually be achieved.
