The battle was about to begin, both sides were staring at each other, wanting to start the battle, Crobat and Pikachu, two powerful Pokémon were looking at each other ready to show their strength to each other, ready to win.
"Let's get started, Crobat use Cross Poison!" – Koga exclaimed.
At an astonishing speed, Crobat headed towards Pikachu with the intention of striking a blow and perhaps ending this battle with a single attack, but... would they allow themselves to be defeated by a simple attack?
"Pikachu, use Double Team and confuse him!" – I exclaimed.
Double Team is an almost useless move in video games, but not in anime and in the real life too. In real life, Double Team is a move that creates numerous copies of a Pokémon, which can confuse the rival Pokémon at a decisive moment and land a blow that could end up weakening him. It's definitive a good move.
"Pika pi!" – Pikachu nodded.
While Crobat was super fast, Pikachu was no slouch and at incredible speed, she used Double Team making numerous copies of herself.
Seeing this, Crobat was not intimidated and hit a Pikachu, which he believed to be real. However, it was only a copy and his attack did not work.
"Keep using Cross Poison, let's see how long she can hide!" – Koga exclaimed.
Following his trainer's orders, Crobat hit all of Pikachu's illusions, but none of them were the real thing.
"What the hell, where is she?" – Koga exclaimed confused.
"Now, Pikachu use Thunderbolt!" – I exclaimed.
Do you think I was going to let him hit Pikachu? Obviously, I made Pikachu jump as high as he could right when he made the last copy, a tactic we practiced before.
"Pika chuuuu!" – Pikachu exclaimed.
Then, a powerful electric burst shot out towards Crobat, but...
"Not bad, but Crobat can still dodge it! Crobat use Quick Attack and dodge it!" – Koga exclaimed.
In one swift move, Crobat dodged Pikachu's attack and got in front of her before she could react.
"Now, knock her down using Cross Poison!" – Koga exclaimed.
Crobat's wings lit up purple and he hit Pikachu with a powerful attack, knocking her to the ground.
"Pikachu!" – I exclaimed.
Damn, I underestimated the speed of that Crobat and Pikachu had to pay the consequences of my foolishness.
"Pika pi!" – Pikachu exclaimed.
"Are you okay?" – I asked worriedly.
"Pika pi!" – Pikachu nodded.
It seems that, although she received damage, it was not enough to weaken her and she does not seem to have been poisoned by him either. But there was still a problem: How to weaken that Crobat? His speed seems to surpass Pikachu's and fooling Koga is going to be quite difficult.
"What should I do now?" – I asked myself.
"Pika pi!" – Pikachu said.
I looked at her and there she was, looking at me with a look full of confidence, as if to say: Trust you! I know you will make it!
"You're right, I'll find a way, we'll make it!" – I exclaimed.
"Do you think so? I'd love to see how you you can do that to my Crobat" - said Koga.
"Hehe, we will without a doubt. I will find a way; Pikachu, use Quick Attack!" – I exclaimed.
"Pika pi!" – Pikachu exclaimed.
"Really? I thought you were smarter, I have seen that strategy on dozens of occasions, it will not work for you. Crobat, use Quick Attack and take her down!" – Koga said.
Crobat shrouded himself in a silver glow and dodged Pikachu's attack.
"Pikachu, we are not going to give up, we are the invincible duo!" – I exclaimed.
"Pika pi!" – Pikachu exclaimed.
Suddenly, Pikachu's Quick Attack began to change and electricity began to come out of her cheeks.
[Attention, Pikachu has learned the move: "Volt Tackle"!]
Jeje, here's my chance.
"Crobat, use Cross Poison and let's end this battle!" – Koga exclaimed.
Crobat headed for Pikachu at a high speed with the intention of impacting his attack again, but...
"Pikachu, use Volt Tackle!" – I exclaimed.
"Pika pi!" – Pikachu nodded.
Suddenly, a huge amount of electricity began to come out of Pikachu's cheeks enveloping her completely and increasing her speed almost double, causing Crobat to miss his attack.
"What?! How is that possible?!" – Koga exclaimed.
"Return the attack from before!" – I said.
With a smile on her face, Pikachu sped towards Crobat with the intention of returning the blow she had received earlier.
"Crobat, dodge it!" – Koga exclaimed.
Crobat tried to dodge it with all his speed, but...
"Don't even dream of it. Come on, Pikachu!" – I exclaimed.
"Pika pi!" – Pikachu exclaimed.
Before Crobat could dodge the attack, Pikachu hit her own sending Koga's Crobat flying and crashing into the wall.
"Are you all right, Crobat?!" – Koga exclaimed.
"Cro... bat" – Crobat said.
Crobat had not weakened, however, he was badly damaged and as if that were not enough, sparks began to come out of his body, a sign that he had been paralyzed.
"You've done well, Crobat, but you can't keep battle like this. Come back and rest" - Koga said.
Then, he returned his Crobat to his Pokéball so that he could rest.
"Well done, Pikachu!" – I said with a smile.
While Crobat had not been weakened, he had been badly damaged and if that wasn't enough, he had also become paralyzed, practically weakened, so Koga had no choice but to return his to his Pokéball.
"Pikapi pi!" – Pikachu exclaimed happily.
"I must admit, I did not expect something like this to happen, my Crobat is so strong and fast that many trainers could not win the badge because of it. However, you have shown me that you can overcome any obstacle if you trust your Pokémon enough. There's no doubt that you share a very strong bond with your Pokémon, only a few times in my life have I seen such a strong bond" – Koga said.
"Thank you" – I said.
The truth is that, from the beginning, Pikachu and I shared a special bond, I don't know how to explain it, but I think our bond was even stronger than the one Ash had with his Pikachu in the anime; that's how I feel.
"Anyway, you haven't won yet. Muk, I choose you!" – Koga exclaimed.
Immediately, a Muk took to the battlefield ready to give it his all.
"Pikachu, I think you should rest a little. I want to check one thing" – I said.
Pikachu nodded, anyway, she was quite tired and somewhat sore from Crobat's blow, so resting wasn't a bad idea at all, so she simply stood next to Ash and fixed her gaze on the battlefield, ready to watch the next battle.
"It's time to see how strong we are... Squirtle, I choose you!" – I exclaimed.
And Squirtle went out on the battlefield ready to win.
"A first evolution? You're pretty brave to use a first evolution at this point" - Koga said.
It wasn't because he was weak or anything like that, but from this gym, the Pokémon that the gym leaders would use were evolved Pokémon and extremely strong, so using a Pokémon in battle in its first evolutionary phase could hurt him and there was no need to make a Pokémon suffer in that way.
"If you think she's weak because she's just a Squirtle... I advise you to get that idea out of your head. Squirtle is not weak at all and I will prove it to you" – I said confidently.
We had trained and I must admit that, despite being a first evolutionary phase, Squirtle's water attacks were quite powerful and if they are already that powerful in their first evolutionary phase... how powerful will their attacks be when she become a Blastoise? I'm excited just to think about how strong she will become in the future, when it's a Blastoise or rather, a Blastoise (female), because for some reason, all my current Pokémon are female; funny: right?
"Since you think so, then prove me I'm wrong. Muk, use Gunk Shot!" – Koga exclaimed.
Muk opened his mouth and began to charge a powerful poison-type attack, and fired it not long after.
"Squirtle, use Hydro Pump!" – I exclaimed.
Hydro Pump was one of the attacks that she was able to fortunately acquire in the system gacha the other day and that I immediately learned to Squirtle and yes, I could have learned it to Onix, but I thought that Squirtle was the weakest Pokémon in all my current team, so I learned it to him and I see that it was a good idea.
