Chapter 148 - Chapter 147

Emiya Residence.

In the morning, everyone gathered around the table as usual to eat breakfast and prepare for the day ahead. However, this time it was a little different than usual. The Assassins, Rea-chan, Elaine, Arthur, and Heracles were behaving in their usual manner, but the others...

- "You could put up a closed field to let the rest of us sleep, you know," Archer tsked irritably, Mo-chan nodded in agreement, and the red-haired Artoria lowered her head.

- "Phew. We've got some competition now, Shiro. Why don't we put in more effort?" Medusa began in a seductive tone, to which Archer flinched, steam came out of Artoria's head, and Merlin giggled and gave me a thumbs-up.

- "When should Gil and I expect a little brother, Master?" Enkidu smiled.

- "Pfft," Gil snorted.

- "I'm so jealous," Lancelot muttered sullenly, "And Lady Sanada doesn't give me a chance to prove my feelings to her..."

- "Congratulations, Romani!" Runeas exclaimed, "Who will be your next victim, hmm?"

- "Perverted animal," Griselda spoke up while Irina repeated after Artoria, as did Gabriel, feeding a misunderstanding Gabi.

- "It was so... noisy..." whispered Le Fay, covering her face with her hat.

Morgan looked extremely happy with a perpetual smile on her face, and Tia was beaming with joy. I, on the other hand, was sprawled out on the table with a completely exhausted and skeleton-like body.

To be honest, when I accepted their urges, I didn't expect to ACTUALLY be sucked dry. My stamina rank was only E, but theirs... Morgan alone could be handled somehow, but Tia was a different level. Together they basically didn't stop, and our games lasted until the wee hours of the morning.

Of course, after such VERY long activities I just wanted to go to sleep and not wake up for the next couple or three days, but Morgan had other plans. She wanted to show off her accomplishments in front of Artoria, to show her superiority even in bed, and so she forcibly pulled me out and dragged me to the table. I didn't even have the strength to drink coffee.

- "Can I go to bed now, Morgan?" I asked in an extremely tired voice, "You've already proved everything you wanted to, Artoria."

- "Hmm?" Saber raised her head, her blush gone and her eyes squinted as she looked at Morgan, "Is that so? You wanted to show me your superiority over me? How childish."

- "Childish or not, I'm better," Morgan smirked, "I haven't seen Queen Shirou in the same state as my husband. I wonder why."

- "Here we go again," Archer rubbed his temples.

- "It's just that Shiro is better than Master. C rank stamina is higher than E," Artoria grinned, "Well, what else should I expect from someone like you. You have bad taste in men."

- "Hey! I'm still here, you know!" I mumbled.

- "I don't like where this is going," Archer shook his head.

- "Well, well, well, my husband has two True Magics and the power of a Grand Servant. What can yours do? A pathetic Soul Mirror and that's it, hmm, dear sister?" Morgan smirked, to which Artoria twitched in annoyance, "Also, my husband has promised me a real wedding ceremony. Or didn't you notice the ring on my finger?"

- "I didn't promise anything."

- "And my Soul Mirror isn't pathetic."

- "How naive," Artoria showed the same smirk as Morgan, "Shirou can make me a ring even now, dear sister, it's just not necessary. Why would he do something like that if we truly love each other and not force it?"

- "My king?" Lancelot marveled at Artoria's boldness.

- "How bold," Merlin chuckled along with Runeas and Medusa.

- "Um... Father...?" Mo-chan joined them.

- "Oh? What are you implying, dear sister?" Morgan asked, and the smirk on her face slowly disappeared.

- "I am not hinting, dear sister, but saying it directly," replied Artoria, and a lightning bolt of enmity came between them, just like that time.

- "Then shall we settle the matter the old-fashioned way?" Morgan called her staff and axe into her hand, "You lost last time. Do you think that's going to change?"

- "Last time I was afraid of damaging the house, but now you've sullied my queen's honor. I, as king, must punish you for disrespecting her," Artoria said with Excalibur in her hand.

- "Q-Queen...?" Archer mumbled wide-eyed and fell to his knees in despair, "And you too... huh...?"

- "N-no, Shirou, that's not what I meant!" Artoria immediately waved her hands.

- "You heard right, you mongrel," the gloating Gil immediately picked up on it, "By the power of the king, I'm giving you the title of 'Queen Mongrel'! Don't you feel immense joy at my generosity?"

- "Shut up, you golden bastard! Nobody asked you!" Archer snarled.

- "No one dares ask the king without my approval, you mutt! You're right about that!" Gil said smugly.

- "Not even me?" Enkidu asked with false offense.

- "Only you and no one else!" Gil answered quickly.

- "Not even the goddess Tiamat?" Enkidu continued, clearly laughing at his friend.

- "She too, but no one else!"

- "And Siduri? She doesn't dare either?"

- "She is..." Gil began, but then he stopped and looked at Enkidu, who was no longer hiding his laughter, "Are you mocking me?!"

- "How dare I? That would be extremely disrespectful to the king," Enkidu said with a smile, to which Gil sighed tiredly and looked at him with some resentment.

I took a deep breath and, unable to endure such noise, teleported to Heaven.

It'll be much quieter there, right?

Heaven.

I was lying on a small, cushioned couch that I had created myself, in Michael's office, because it was supposed to be the quietest and most inaccessible place to the vast majority of people, but in reality, things were a little different than planned.

CHUCK CHUCK CHUCK CHUCK

- "Could you please be a little quieter?" I asked Michael, "I'm trying to get some sleep here."

CHUCK CHUCK CHUCK CHUCK

- "I'm wildly apologizing, but did you hear my question?"

CHUCK CHUCK CHUCK CHUCK

- "Okay," I sighed and changed my posture from lying down to sitting up, "What's your problem?"

- "Oh? I apologize, Romani-san, I didn't see you? When did you arrive?" Came a voice from a veritable HORGE of various papers.

- "Trying to be passive-aggressive, hmm?" I asked with a twitched eyebrow and created a torrent of wind that scattered the papers and revealed Michael to me. And, I have to say, he didn't look...good.

Huge black circles under his eyes were swallowing up the light. His golden wings seemed to have faded a couple of shades. His hair was a mess, and his cheeks had sunken inward as if he hadn't eaten in months.

- "Hehe. You look... weak."

- "I apologize for the sight, but thanks to you, I have a lot of work to do. And I can't entrust it to someone else, because it's too important to the well-being of Heaven," Michael said in a tired voice and with a really languid smile on his face.

- "Oh, then do your best. I shrugged my shoulders and covered myself with a closed field that blocked the sounds from outside. But when my eyes closed and I was about to fall asleep, the closed field was shattered by an attack, obviously belonging to whom." I didn't think you had it in you, Michael.

- "What are you talking about?" Playing absolute innocence, he asked.

- "Perhaps that my barrier has been broken by someone."

- "What a misfortune... Perhaps you have angered your father in some way, and he has sent his punishment upon you."

- "Oh, really? You mean it's definitely not you?"

- "Your words cut me harder than a blade."

- "How cleverly you avoided answering, the most cunning angel in all seven Heavens." I grinned, "So, how do you like your new duties? I suppose it's been fun watching hundreds of angels mate, hmm?"

- "No, it's my responsibility. And I'd be letting my father down by giving up halfway through," he replied, "By the way, how is my sister? Have you proposed to her yet? Or do you intend to play with the purest, most innocent and beautiful angel my father ever created?"

- "You do realize it's no use pushing me around like this, right?"

- "Accusing me of lying is a sin, Romani-san."

- "And so is avoiding an answer," I shrugged and was about to continue our verbal battle when I felt a very familiar surge of mana right in the Heavens.

The next moment I teleported to the Third Heaven, to one of its most remote areas, where I was waiting....

- "Why am I not surprised to see you here, Rizevim?" Rubbing my temples, I said.

- "It's pretty easy to get in here if you have the right tools, Romani," she said with a smug smile, dressed in her usual business suit.

- "Like the Sephiroth Grail, I presume?" I grinned, to which I received a short nod, "So, why are you here?"

- "Can't I just want to see you?"

- "That's one reason, but what's the other?"

- "That's why I like you, Romani. You see the essence of things, not illusions," she laughed, covering her mouth with her hand, "I think you'll be interested to hear some things. Say, about Olympus, hmm?"

- "Ho? I'm listening."
