Nora glanced at her phone when it rang, Nat's name flashing across the screen. She answered immediately, her tone still light with amusement from their last exchange.
"I will take the properties," Nat said without any emotion in her voice. It was clear but colder now. "Now that I don't need to hide, can I leave this house?"
Nora blinked, momentarily caught off guard by the sudden shift in tone. But she quickly recovered, a slow, knowing smile curving her lips.
"Of course," she said smoothly. "I will have someone send a car for you. But where would you go?"
"Anywhere! But I do not want to live in this country anymore. I will shift to a hotel first and then decide everything in a week." Though her voice sounded exhausted, it was clear she had made up her mind. Even if Nora would not help her, she would find a way to run away.
