Xu Cheng crawled to the bedside table, turned off the lamp, and a faint orange glow filtered in from outside the heavy curtains, coming from the house across the street.
"It feels so peaceful..." Bubble closed her eyes and said slowly in the darkness.
Xu Cheng breathed evenly, listening to Bubble's breathing beside her. She felt so strange; now she truly felt Bubble's "presence." She was right next to her, a little Bubble, not someone else.
She crawled a bit closer to Bubble. Coincidentally, they both took out their locators at the same time, watching them glow in the dark. The fluorescent green arrows pointed toward each other, signifying they were so close, watching over one another.
"Bubble..." Xu Cheng whispered.
"Mm..." Bubble closed her eyes.
"Meeting you, Bubble... feels so happy..." Xu Cheng said softly.
Bubble crawled over and curled up next to Xu Cheng. She wanted to say, "Me too."
"Did you hear something?" Bubble suddenly felt a noise from somewhere.
