Chapter 18 - Chapter 18: Ripples in Hosu

The agency hummed with late-day quiet. Distant traffic echoed from the streets of Shizuoka, and the sunset painted the sky in hues of ember and gold. Inside, Mt. Lady scrolled through a report on minor vandalism.

Aiden stood at the far console, hands behind his back. His eyes moved over digital maps and patrol logs, cross-referencing incident locations.

A soft ping echoed from the wall monitor.

The headline blinked red:

> "BREAKING: Hosu City – the hero killer have been spotted again."

Mt. Lady leaned slightly toward the screen, raising an eyebrow. "well that's going to be trouble some."

Aiden said nothing.

She glanced over her shoulder at him—expecting maybe a question, or at least a flicker of interest. But the intern stood still, calm as ever. He didn't react to the news or the footage or the gravity of what was being reported.

"Back to local patrol routes, then," she muttered, turning back to her own reports.

The next few days passed without disruption, I like other heroes who were training new entrance she couldn't do that as Aiden was already strong and did not had law any issues in understanding of his powers.

So Mt. Lady just took him around to solve some minor issue while also spending time in a shopping for her photoshoot.

While there daily life continue The headlines from Hosu only grew more intense—more suspicion and chance of more attack No heroes dead yet, but several where already removed from their duty due to their injuries.

Just like any other day shizuoka's buildings bathed in amber glow. Traffic crawled below as streetlights blinked on one by one. The air was warm, humming with the usual buzz of early evening.

Aiden hovered low above the rooftops, his cloak fluttering with each quiet gust. Mt. Lady walking around the road occasionally waving at pedestrians who looked her in awe.

" another uneventful day" she muttered, hands resting behind her head. "I just need villain to drop from the sky or that little kid would think being hero is all about shopping."

"well I have a feeling your wish soon going to come true" Aiden said while coming down from the sky.

She glanced at him. " come on that just a joke I really don't want a villain as I have a photoshoot tomorrow."

Before he could respond, her commlink beeped sharply. At the same time, a glowing news banner flashed across the billboard atop the adjacent tower.

> BREAKING NEWS: Multiple creatures Sighted in Hosu City. Pro Heroes Engaged. Civilian Evacuation Underway.

Mt. Lady taking out her device."that's looks bad they are asking for all nearby heroes" she said,

He said nothing, but his gaze narrowed. The swirling currents of fate pulled tighter.

She hesitated, fingers hovering over her comm.

"I could go… but by the time I'm there, it might already be over," she muttered. "Unless…"

Her eyes flicked toward Aiden.

"You can teleport, can't you?"

"Yes."

She crossed her arms. "You're not exactly on the Hosu response team, but you could get me there in seconds. I'll handle the Nomu—you don't even have to stay."

He regarded her for a moment, reading more than her words. She was serious. And practical.

" what if I want to join And fight villains?" he asked.

Hearing this she close her eyes as she realise the problem without Hero licence he couldn't join in the fight and if she allow him to join their might be some complications.

To be fair even if she doesn't go other heroes would able to stop the attack and she might not be needed there but as she open her eyes and look at him and recall Nezu's request how he ask her to help Aiden to become a better hero instead of some superpower individual.

meeting his gaze. "Ok you can join, and I will give you the permit to use your powers even without Hero licence."

He nodded once, silently impressed.

A flick of his hand conjured a luminous glyph beneath their feet, Mt. Lady barely had time to adjust her stance before—

They vanished.

Hosu City – Battle Zone

They arrived amid fire and smoke.

Screams echoed between the buildings. Sirens wailed across the neighborhood. In the street ahead, a Nomu charged down a collapsed alley, its muscles bulging unnaturally, bones poking through skin like armor plates.

A rescue team scrambled to pull civilians away—but they were seconds from being crushed.

As soon as Mt. Lady saw the scene, she sprinted ahead.

Aiden raised a single hand. A soft golden glow lit his palm—telekinetic energy gathered around it like illusion With a subtle flick, he gripped the charging Nomu from afar—not stopping it, but slowing its stride just enough.

The creature snarled, legs struggling against invisible resistance. The ground cracked beneath its feet.

Mt. Lady triggered her Quirk, her body expanding rapidly until she towered above the narrow city block. As she lunged to intercept the Nomu, her massive fist slammed downward—catching the creature mid-charge and driving it into the pavement. The street buckled beneath her weight, cracking and cratering from the force, clearly not built to withstand a giant's stride

A smaller Nomu shrieked and bolted up a wall, claws digging into brick, aiming for a rooftop escape.

Aiden turned slightly, eyes narrowing.

With his fingers extended, a thin pulse of controlled telekinetic pressure snapped forward—not a wall, but a focused push, sharp and directional. The Nomu jerked off balance mid-leap and slammed shoulder-first into the wall, tumbling to the ground in a heap.

Mt. Lady—still enormous—grunted, brushing debris from her arm. " I really need to file a complaint there any have a bad road."

"what could we say they were not expecting you," Aiden replied, walking calmly across the cracked street.

Another roar echoed from the far side of the intersection—a bulkier Nomu bulldozing through abandoned vehicles.

Mt. Lady shrank to her regular size, breathing hard. "That one's mine."

She rushed forward without waiting, reactivating her Quirk mid-sprint. Her enlarged form swept up a discarded delivery van and hurled it at the Nomu like a battering ram. It smashed into the creature's torso, knocking it off its rampage.

Aiden stayed back, sweeping his senses across the area. His left hand subtly guided falling rubble away from civilians—telekinetic threads weaving quietly through the chaos.

As he was thinking what to do next, a subtle vibration in Aiden's coat. Not loud. Not flashing.

He reached in and pulled out his phone.

📍 Location Shared – Hosu District

Sender: Izuku Midoriya

No message. Just coordinates.

He stared at the screen.

Well he understood the situation so he lowered the phone and walked back toward Mt. Lady, who had just shoved a smaller Nomu through a dumpster and into unconsciousness.

She turned to him, panting slightly. "What is it?"

"One of the student have been attacked he is asking for help ."

She wiped her brow and nodded.

"If he really need help you should go" She gave him a short look. "Go and help"

"I'll return if I can."

She snorted. "No need to be dramatic. I've got plenty to punch."

He raised a hand. The runes flared again, and in a blink—

He was gone.

Dark Alley – Hosu, Central District

He landed in silence.

A burning trash bin crackled nearby. Windows were broken. The walls were splattered with soot and streaked red with dried blood.

He moved forward without hesitation.

A few steps later, he saw them.

Iida lay unconscious, slumped in Midoriya's arms. Blood smeared the ground in arcs. Midoriya looked up—eyes wide, frantic, desperate.

Aiden met his gaze.

"I didn't thought you would be the first to come," Midoriya breathed.

Aiden walked past him, slowly. "Well I was already here and from the looks of it you also understand I can teleport or you wouldn't have sent me the location"

In the shadows ahead, a single figure stepped forward.

The red scarf. The hunched posture. The blood-soaked blade.

"Another kid, with fancy outfit" the Hero Killer said.

"No I'm fate"

Author's Note:

Last month was rough, and unfortunately, this one hasn't started any better. I caught a cold at the beginning of the month, and even though I want to keep writing this novel, most of my time has to go into TPM since people are actively subscribing for that one.

Honestly, I keep getting distracted by thoughts of writing a new story—something wild like a Ben 10 × Marvel crossover. Imagine Ben, now 16,which is after 6 years since he have gotten the watch in the Marvel world. His grandmother could be reimagined as a different alien species, allowing for some romance potential with his cousin and mixing balance of alien force + Marvel let just say it would have been chaos.

Still, I'm holding myself back from starting it. I barely have time to manage this series, and launching another one right now would be a terrible idea.

Thanks for your patience and understanding.
