Alex watched as Goliath stepped into the center of the pentagram, her movements steady but deliberate. The flickering candlelight danced across her face, casting shifting shadows that made her expression hard to read.
"But," Alex said, his voice breaking the quiet, "I'm not really sure if the summoning works the same way as in the game. You know... different world, different rules and all that."
Goliath raised an eyebrow at him. "Great. That's comforting."
He shrugged, offering a sheepish grin. "Just... maybe try channeling your mana into the sigil on your hand, focus it into the pentagram, and then say something like, 'I call you, my servant.' That's how it worked in the game."
