Chapter 103 - Follow

One Hundred Three:

Dream: Moon and Unknown

I found myself standing in the middle of a road with no light to guide me. A path that gives off a terrible chill that reaches to the very depths of my bones. Although, the coolness it provides from where I'm standing is different from what it provides outside on the road. It was hot, so hot that it was burning and within a few seconds of my hand leaving that area, I could feel my skin gradually burning so I immediately pulled my hand back into the cool road.

The pain of burning still lingers in my hand and it was hard for me to take off as if my hand was totally burn from something I couldn't see. There's no fire around the whole place yet, there's one thing that can be seen from the reflection of the water on the ground. Light.

My eyes quickly look up only to find out that at my front, I see a huge three. Too huge it covers the big white flaming moon…? I am not so sure if it is a moon or just a ball of white fire. But it really looks like a huge moon.

The light that emits from this huge moon was warm and soft different from what it truly made you feel once you step out of its light. It burns down to its core while the tree that covers the huge moon gives a strong cold which freezes my entire body up to my deep core. Yet, it never made me to stop.

As I keep staring at the tree, the familiarity is too strong to handle I want to reach it and hold on to it though, with every step that I take one by one all my emotions and all my sins leaving me behind, draining everything away from me. I begin to feel nothing, no happiness, no fear, no anger, no sadness, no disgust, no surprise, no excitement, no gratitude, no shame, no contempt, no pride and no love.

Slowly I begin to be empty, and one by one even my senses leaving me behind. My sight begins to lose yet I can clearly see the tree in front of me, then my smell begins to lose I scent nothing at all, then next is my hearing, I hear nothing even the sound of the water that I'm stepping in suddenly became quiet. Even my taste begins to fade, and it seems if I step one more, my senses of touch will fade as well.

My logical and illogical thinking… it fades as if it never existed. I'm just a shell without anything from the inside. I'm a walking void.

Until… someone pulled me and awake my senses... my emotions... in one strong pull.

'Return!' it said and looking at it, I only see a dark shadow with a human form. No face and no flesh, it simply just a dark shadow.

'Who are you?'

'This isn't the right time for you to be here. Now, return!' the shadow answered and before I knew it, the shadow already pushed me hard back from where I begin and everything begins to fade as my emotions and senses returns one by one.

Present

Moon

"I'm not so sure about it." What would I answer when I'm not sure why here in the moon? Or because this is where I went when I learned to travel through dreams or maybe… something similar because as far as I remember there's a tree in front of me that blocks the light coming from the moon that emits a mysterious flare of fire. Then, where was that place? I don't know or even remember where it is.

"Having doubts?"

His/her voice disturb my thoughts the reason why I didn't answer Wren question instead, I open a portal that will connect me to Almos and just walks in as Wren follows me silently.

"You are really something." Wren said after we passed through the portal that I open. "You found him so easily." He/she added as we saw Almos going through his journey back to his past life.

"His with…" I was surprised seeing Dione together with him. "Why?"

"As I said to you earlier, a God or a Goddess will guide him." I look at him/her and waited for his/her explanation. "The crystal that he used to keep his memories was come from the moon. The reason why Almos need a God or a Goddess to guide him through his journey back to the past because, the moon crystal won't break nor can be damage by any weapons or powers. It was a hard jewel stone created by the highest Moon Holiness to provide a strong and hard storage of memories. And it was Goddess Dione that was chosen to be Almos' guide."

'Moon Crystal. If something like that truly exist then, it is possible that I have one.' I speak to myself forgetting that Wren would hear it loud and clear.

"You are not allowed to use the Moon Crystal."

"What? Why?" I surprisingly asked.

"Because you were a Special Spirit and to further understand it you just go back on time. Back to your past and it will be clearer for you once everything return into you."

I take a deep breath as I close my eyes to let myself relax for a little while.

"Is this the right path, Dione." It was Almos who spoke that made me to open my eyes and look back at his direction.

"Yes it is and right now––" Dione stops when suddenly she senses something mysterious in their surroundings.

"What is it?" Almos asked curiously.

"Did Goddess Dione sense us?" Wren asked.

"No, she didn't." I simply answered.

"Oh, then, what happened?"

"It was just… a glitch."

"It's… nothing." Dione answered as she shakes her head then, "let's head on. The key to your Crystal Heart is waiting for your return."

In silence, Wren and I followed them.
