By the time he came out, Shen Mianmian had taken a shower with the clothes she brought in. When she came out again, she noticed He Nan standing by the window. Shen Mianmian pursed her lips and walked over.
Looking at the scars on his arm, her heart ached, yet she didn't know how to start the conversation.
He Nan turned to look at her and reached out to embrace her, but Shen Mianmian instinctively dodged. He Nan frowned, "Mianmian, are you resisting me?"
"..."
Shen Mianmian didn't admit it, nor did she argue. After a while, she said, "I haven't seen you for five years, and I might not have adjusted right away."
Hearing this, He Nan didn't press her, "What were you thinking about saying in the car?"
Their eyes met, and once again, with only the two of them present, Shen Mianmian suddenly didn't know what to say, or maybe, she wanted to escape. Because once He Nan admitted Xingxing was his child out loud, she didn't know how to face him.
