With her eyes closed, she concentrated as her scope of vision expanded a great deal over the forest that she was in. The reason why not the entire was because her head was becoming nauseous not to mention she couldn't recall every single movement she would pick up.
From the wide scope she had already, it was similar to her mind being stretched out pushing her to her very limits before retracting it.
'There should be more tier four beasts deeper not to mention some of them are deviants with an actual corrupted one perchance. I can't afford to lose it.'
'...What is this?' A question raised in her mind as she felt a weird and irregular spatial fluctuation. 'What kind of beast can traverse this quickly? It can't be a tier six beast as it would have already been addressed not to mention they rarely come out this far out.'
As she delved deeper, the nagging question in her mind persisted however she tried to focus on the task at hand. Her figure appeared right in front of a pack of some stray den.
It was clearly populated thus scoping it out, she was able to identify her targets. 'Four tier four beasts and ten tier three beasts.' The rest was something that she couldn't be bothered as they failed to pose a threat to her.
Still within the shadows, she was able to perceive the family of Lionaras emerging from their cave. With how deep in the woods she was, she wasn't baffled by this sight.
They had a similar composure to lions however their physique was greatly improved, their roars ear piercing and can crush the skulls of weaker beasts. Their skin tough to pierce and majestic golden manes while in this group in particular had a silver mane.
It was evident that the silvery mane Lionara was the leader seeing it's composure and demeanor. It was surrounded by other Lionaras to it's side and one in front of it.
Such a tantamonious task of taking one down was a commendable feat however a family of them was unideal. But for Vivienne, she has her means of taking care of it without getting close.
'To think that such a formidable predator out in the wild will fall so easily.' She mused in the darkness as a dark orb manifested in her palm.
The four Lionaras which were making their way deeper into the forest started to feel a sense of drowsiness and it wasn't long before the party collapsed onto the ground.
Despite this, she didn't blindly rush in as she waited and sensing something monstrous approach her, like a hunter, her patience was in abundance.
*Thirty minutes later*
The emergence of a strange creature could be seen as it surveyed the surroundings before making it's way to the group of Lionaras.
It's skin was hideous to look at which contained a mixture of colours. It had the body of a snake but way bigger and using her spatial talent, she was able to gauge the tier ranking of the beast.
'A tier five corrupted beast but I've never seen such a creature.' With the different variants of the reactions between demons and creatures, it was hard to tell what kind of arsenal this one had.
Raising her hand with her index and middle finger pointed at it, she was ready to take a shot at it with a smaller orb. Given it's light speed properties, she wasn't worried about missing before she let go.
*Warp*
The orb within the fraction of a second made it's way into the head of the abomination and upon impact, instead of exploding, it did the opposite and imploded, taking a huge chunk of it's head.
*Hiss*
The sound of the ear piercing scream of the beast could be heard as it scrambled to find cover and recuperate.
*Thud*
Vivienne's figure was exposed as she fell onto the ground, eager to take it head on. "Oh! So you are the one who is responsible for thisssss!!!" The beast hissed as it looked at Vivienne, agitated at the cause for being in it's sorry state.
Being this close to the beast, she realized that the hotchpotch of colors that she saw earlier weren't colors due to a strange reaction but faces of other creatures stitched together onto the beast. The reason why was something she couldn't decipher at the moment.
Another hiss followed as it exposed its fangs, shooting a strange liquid that rushed towards her however it disappeared and ejected back to it as it was swallowed by a strange dark and golden orb.
"Ahhhh!!!" The sizzling sound of flesh could be heard as the snake like beast squirmed on the ground. Realizing the situation it was in, it made its escape by burrowing deep into the ground and out of her sight.
Warping the carcasses of the four Lionaras into her spatial world, she gave chase to the demonic beast. With her spatial talent, she was able to read it's movements with relative ease despite how deep it burried itself into the ground.
*Four hours later*
'I should have lost that girl.' It mused as it arrived at its nest underground. And along with this there were multiple shafts that could be seen all over the place making it difficult to tell whether to go next.
'But what was strange about her was that she was able to take out four Lionaras given that she lacks a mana disc core. But with network of these tunnels, it won't be a while before she finds where I am.'
Glad with it's retreat, it waited patiently as it tried to gauge the readings of the over world. Sensing no vibrations, it could assume that it had lost her or she was waiting silently till it emerged once more.
'She really thinks that she can catch me in such a manner. I have ways all over this forest thus I can leave as I please and hunt to restore my strength while she waits and exhausts herself.'
Knowing that it was a dangerous option to come out, it contained itself within it's own burrows. As it was about to fall asleep, it felt a strange sensation all over its skin. Looking at it, it saw multiple boils emerging as they popped.
They would contain blood and a composition of other materials as well such as its flesh and skin. A strange pain coursed throughout it's body as it wriggled in pain, wondering what was happening to it.
'Was the air at the scene poisoned? Does that explain the sleeping Lionaras? But why didn't I sense anything wrong not to mention their skin seemed fine at the time. Regardless, I have to address this!'
It couldn't waste any more time or it would die of blood loss and drown in its own blood which would be an embarrassing death for such a monster. 'Its clear that she is after my mana disc core so I won't give it to her. I would rather die than have it in her hands.'
As it fell into thought, wondering whether it should claim its own life, another revelation made it reconsider.
"Blah!!" A stream of blood flowed endlessly out of its mouth and now it realized that the puss and boils were forming in the inside as well. Realizing that it would meet its end in such a manner, it opted to end its own life.
*Boom*
The creature fell to the ground as it lacked the willpower to move on. 'Wait! Why can't I move?' It wondered in the darkness of it's burrows, unaware that all of the torment and suffering that it was experiencing was because of Vivienne who was not far from where the creature was.
Directly above where the nest was was a hollow dark black hole the size of a bus that hummed silently. 'I've been able to make it emit radiation forcing the creature to come out of its nest but a complete assurance that stray rays do not affect me isn't certain.'
She was able to guide it towards a major direction but the presence of stray rays posed a problem to her as well. Switching it up, she opted to heat rather than radiation of the black hole.
The beast deep within the hole on top of having itself crippled as blood flowed endlessly out of the boils that emerged from it's skin felt the temperature spike up greatly.
Under the immense heat, it could only wait for death in it's conscious state and it wasn't long before it lost it's consciousness. After ensuring that there was no more movement from it, she warped the creature to the surface.
The horrible gut wrenching stench could be smelt from afar. It was covered in blood and puss which was made worse with the slightly burnt flesh from both the radiation and the heat.
Knowing that the body was radioactive, she extracted the mana disc core from her distance and ensured it's integrity. 'Should I have some lead equipment from now on or not?' She couldn't help but muse as she extracted the mana disc cores of the four Lionaras and tossing them alongside the snake.
Her body was coated with a mana barrier which was an artifact gifted by her father. 'And with that, I should have a total of one thousand, one hundred and ten points.' As for the sight of the snake, she left the vicinity aware the implications she would have if it was known that she was responsible.
'Coupled with the fact that I have a corrupted tier five mana disc core, it should give me a great advantage over the competition.' As she had made a considerable distance away, she sensed something that was fastly approaching her.
Its speed was unnatural this opting for cover, she delved herself into her own world. Seconds after, a figure appeared to where she recently was, surveying the area.
"It's weird, she should be right here." The sound was rather baffled with Vivienne's absence. The figure looked around before setting their eyes in a particular direction however there was nothing there.
"I know you're here!" The voice added on however the party didn't waste that much time and left the area. Fearful of what was outside, she opted to stay in her world for a bit longer.
She was able to perceive the outside world thus she was baffled as she saw the silhouette of the person in search for her. 'Who is she?' She contemplated as she saw the figure. A short and mysterious lady with short pink hair and riding a beast she had never seen in her life.
She failed to gauge their tier as she could tell that she was able to faintly sense her given that she had looked in her direction as if interested before losing interest. 'Was it a member of the demon faction or one of the queen's soldiers?'
Vivienne couldn't rack her brains up to gauge who it was but she could definitely tell that they were dangerous enough to guess where she was. Despite sensing nothing around her, she stayed in her world for a few more hours before emerging.
The sun had already set meaning that she had spent nearly over nine hours in there. The principles of the world she would dive in would have a direct link to the real world meaning the time flow was the same.
'I've wasted a lot of time forcing me to keep on hunting to recuperate the time I had wasted hiding. But what business does that lady have with me?'
Seeing the darkness envelope the forest, she made her way deeper into the forest with her guard up to avoid another confrontation with that lady. And along with it, she kept her utilization of her spatial talent to a minimum be it the reason as to why she was able to track her down.
...
"A thousand points!!! I'm sure that not even Vivienne has reached this standard!" Isilindil mused with glee as he rested for the day, raking in the profits on behalf on his subjects.
"But given that she could catch up, we must keep on going!" As he was about to lay and rest, one of his surbodinates spoke up.
"Master Isilindil, we have a communication relay coming in from your father." Isilindil was slightly baffled by it but he picked the mana stone out of his hands as he decoded the message sent to the party.
After he was done, his face no longer had the vigour it had before, looking ashen and defeated.
