"Hmm… I think I'm caught up in the story already. Okay, wait here for a little bit. I'll return in an hour."
I said while standing up from her bed, and walked to the balcony door, which confuses even more.
"An hour…? Wait, where are you going!?"
"The Southern Base. You said it was occupied, right? It'll be quick!"
"Y-Yes, but they are really strong! You should just leave it to the others to face--"
VWOOSSHH!!!
Her words were cut short, and I was already flying. Lescia let out a sigh and walked to the balcony to the door, since the snowstorm was quite heavy.
But right before she was able to close it, a massive lump of white snow landed on the balcony.
It was me.
"What the--!?!?"
"It's so cold!!!"
I returned after flying for a few seconds, all covered in snow.
Lescia let go of the shock and laughed, and she gave a thick jacket to me from her collection. It has fur on the hood, which makes me realize that this is probably a very expensive jacket. I wore it and tried warming my body, and I feel really good wearing this.
"Oh… hoho… this felt so much better…"
"You can't even handle the cold, and you want to fight those two demon squadrons??"
"Oh, right."
I turned around and started flying again.
After around ten minutes of flying, I arrived on what seemed to be the 'Great Wall'. From above, the great wall looks nothing like the great wall (if you know which one I mean). It was pretty thick and wide, but not even close to being as tall.
This wall is merely a castle wall made with earth magic. It can be easily blasted by a Beginner tier fireball, and I'm really not quite sure as to what is the point of having them here.
After reaching it, I began going south to look for the southern base.
After flying for another five minutes, I arrived on the southern base.
It's a square base, filled with camps and buildings. Or at least, there were signs of it.
The base has been taken over by the demons from the two squadrons, and they ravaged everything. Camps, buildings, all of them have been turned to nothing but rubbles and ashes.
But, they are still occupying the area.
On the western side of the base, I can see a great battle is taking place. These demons are surely strong, because they are causing quite the destruction.
The entire forest was destroyed, and the fight even went to the hilly areas around it. I can see the army getting pushed away hard from my side, and I can't help watching anymore.
First, I can't let Lescia's jacket get dirtied. I took it off, and placed it inside my space ring.
Then I dashed down to land on the base, right behind a clueless demon.
"Huh?-"
BAKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And just like that, I have killed my first demon in the war.
I smacked the poor demon really hard in the face, and his face got completely transformed as his body flew towards the other side of the base's wall. The explosive crash caused all the other demons to quickly notice my presence, and I took out my scythe.
As I stared at them, I realized that they were all wearing the same expression.
Shock, anger.
I just took down one of them from behind, cruelly. Certainly, they aren't happy.
But, you came to my territory.
You harmed my people first.
This is all… your fault.
I closed my eyes and focused, and I reopened it to release all of the bloodlust that was hidden deep inside of me.
So please… don't blame me for killing you.
Noticing the released bloodlust from my eyes, the demons turned enraged. They all flew towards me quickly and even attacked from a range, every single one of them.
Seeing from their badges, they are the Orc and Wolf squadron members.
A single one of them is at least as dangerous as a Yellow ranked adventurer, possibly even more powerful.
And there should be over a total of forty of them here.
However… they are nothing to me.
They all dashed towards me and started shooting their magic attacks. I looked upwards at them, and as time slowed down, a faint expression can be seen being worn on my face.
I grinned.
BRESSSHH!!!!
SREESHH!!!
"AAAAAHHHKKK!!!!!---"
BAAAARRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Blood spilled everywhere as the battle occurred. I did not spare a single mercy towards them, as they don't deserve it one bit.
A single slice on their abdomen completely sliced them in half, while a simple kick on the stomach destroyed their entire insides and exploded them out. I tried punching to make things less bloody, but a punch to the face will completely transform the shape of their skulls and will throw them towards the ground at the speed of a bullet.
Without realizing, sixteen powerful demon squadron members died in mere seconds, and I flew towards the currently ongoing battle outside the base.
