Aurora clutched the silver dagger tightly as they raced toward the Whispering Caves. The Blood Moon's final rays cast long shadows across the forest floor. Her heart pounded with each step, thinking of the innocent pups in danger.
"We need to hurry," she urged, her eyes still flecked with silver moonlight. "Juliet won't wait."
As they ran, Elias suddenly stumbled, clutching his side. He fell to one knee, wincing in pain.
"You're still weak from the transformation," Markus said, helping him up. "Your body hasn't fully recovered."
"I'm fine," Elias insisted, though his face was pale. "The pups are what matter now."
Dante, who had been running silently ahead of them, slowed and pointed to a small stream nearby. "We should rest for a moment. The caves are still twenty minutes away. We need our strength if we're going to face Juliet and her followers."
Aurora wanted to argue, her newly awakened wolf pushing her forward, but she knew they were right. They needed to be at full power.
