Hearing Chief David's voice, Jack looked up and found that besides Chief David, Aix had somehow been released and was standing next to Chief David.
"Oh, okay." Jack responded and got up, walking towards where Chief David was.
Once Jack got closer, Chief David began to speak: "Jack, Aix, I'm assigning you two a task. In a few days, the special task force investigating the live murder case will be stationed at our police station to investigate today's case, so we need a big office. Your task is to clean the room on the south side thoroughly."
Upon hearing this, Jack immediately understood the task force's intention. They were using the guise of case investigation to monitor him closely, trying to find evidence that he was the Dark Law Enforcer.
But where could they easily find such evidence?
Jack smirked and nodded in agreement: "Okay, I'll go right now."
Meanwhile, Aix stood nearby, observing Jack's every move with an expressionless face, his face consistently wearing a smile.
